I reeeeeally like "Top Shelf" because it recognizes the worth and talent illustrated in the post and the artistry of the poster.  This is generally used in a more OT, a"dive" type post or those from notable hucksters like: clams, chumster, fatty, kilgore, pvt. joker, or steve dave.  Plus it sounds awesome.  Just make yourself chuckle and then say "Top Shelf" like you are slapping yer buddy on the back after a particularly tart zinger.  It just feels right.

"QFT", for me, seems like someone trying too hard.  I understand that it holds different meaning than "Top Shelf" and is generally used in more serious discussions, but it just kind of rubs me wrong.  Where is the aesthetic appeal?  It confuses the n00bs, and that has its place, but to what end?  Quoted for truth.  That's the big pay-off.  Long decipherable acronyms can be fun, I like: TIA (that is all/thanks in advance depending on context), WTF?, OMG, LOL etc. because they are over the top ridiculous.  "QFT" has the feel of a 12 yr old launching into some 10-4s without a hint of irony.

KSUfans, I submit to you that we are better than that.  Let's do the right thing.  Let's restrict our usage of "QFT" and up the "Top Shelf"-s.  If you are scrolling down a thread and you LOL or you are awe-struck with the fine analysis laid down by one of the XnO Gods click that quote function and toss out a "Top Shelf."  It will show everyone that you know how to be cool on a message board, that you roll with the "in-crowd" and that you aren't afraid to let one fly in a "QFT" world.  If you find yourself picturing a high schooler or community college drop out crying behind his keyboard after a particularly vicious zing, you know what to do.

TIA

    The very best.
I'm going to say this.

the ksu-warzone posters here are hands down the worst.

bp, mjrod, plaincat, azcat...etc...

So any warzone influence is looked down upon imo.

That's all I'll say about this subject.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

QFT and top shelf are completely different, tard.

If you drew a Venn diagram would there be a space in the middle where they were both applicable?  How much of that space is ceded to QFT by the posters here?  95%?

Its just sad to see how much material you steal from your Block courses.  Unoriginal turd!

My $.02:
Top Shelf is used when somebody hits the high note with a post and nothing else can top it.
QFT is simply agreeing with another poster.

Just let them be.   :nono:
