    Working on my attic
I have been thinking the past week leading up to our game that our collective fan bases have very little ability to admit that the other team can possibly be any good in either sport.  I am certainly guilty of it.  When K-State loses to Auburn, they suck.  When we lose to UCLE in the GReat 8, we suck.  When K-State beats UT, UT sucks . . . because K-State sucks.  When we win, we are awesome and K-State sucks.  When K-State wins, they are awesome and we suck.  Etc., etc., etc. . . .

I think yesterday proved that we are both pretty good.  I happen to think we are better from a foundation, talent, youth, and coaching standpoint, but it isn't the huge gap we all make it out to be.

So I guess this is my mea culpa:  K-State doesn't suck at tackle football

Be gentle.  :blindfold:

You can't think K-State sucks if you think ku is any good.  And vice versa.

I was trying to tell your board that.  ku being good doesn't mean K-State is faceplanting.

Right, but I do enjoy looking at the future of the two programs.

KSU has now played 3 top-25 teams in its first 5 games, so the fact that we have 2 losses isn't exactly surprising.

Every game on every Saturday is huge.  Congrats on winning your Superbowl again though.  :ugh:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

The people that are taking this loss the hardest are the people that take just as much pleasure out of ku being bad, as KSU being good.  Unfortunately for me, I'm one of those people.  I'm sad.

I am mad that KSU lost, I am not surprised that KSU lost.  I do not believe that our coach has the ability to get the team ready to pay week end and week out.   The reason I am mad is because we did exactly what in my mind we couldn't do, and that was not deliver a knockout punch early even though ku gave KSU every opportunity to do so.   ku is finally good enough that once they get acclamated, if a team like KSU is just going to let them hang around then a team like KSU will get beat by a team like ku.   Props to ku for riding out the storm.

I am also ticked off that we didn't do some of the things that we did against Texas.  So what if ku got to scout the direct snap to the RB series.  That's an execution formation, not a tricky formation.   Plus what happened to the little rolling swing pass that KSU did against Texas . . . BFD if ku got to scout it, it's an easy play to execute, and when executed well a tough play to stop, it's almost like an extended option play.

In the 2nd half, I would've had our defense disguising all kinds of things, but instead it looked like KSU just got lazy and lined straight up on ku and let ku change the play and all that crap with ease.

Very poor job by our coaching staff, very poor, and that makes two years in a row.

Dax, how about the James-McClinton-living-in-your-backfield play?  We didn't get to scout that one.  Or the Jackson-disappearing-act play?  We didn't see that one coming either.

But we ran that play before the injury.  Sometimes we had to audible into the James-McClinton-living-in-your-backfield-even-though-he-was-double-teamed play.

Dang it, Stunner.  Would you decide whether or not you are counting rankings when you play them, or if it happens before/after?   ;)

Depends on if you want ku to have a road win vs. a top 25 team ;)

It didn't work nearly as well before the injury.  Not even close.

Or how about the Aqib "burnt toast" Talib meet Jordy Nelson play, remember how that was never going to happen??   I'd just like to know . . . just where have I posted that Rob Jackson would dominate, or that KSU's offensive line would block perfectly all game long, or that KSU would even win the game for that matter??

Why are you here, why are you so excited, why have all my little ku buddies admitted to watching the game on tape or DVR over and over, why did the father of a little ku buddy of mine act like ku just won the national title . . . KSU isn't ku's rival afterall/?

So much anger in this one.

Jordy made a hell of a play.  Talib made a huge mistake.  You got your moral victory.  We adjusted.  Jordy was ineffective thereafter.  Game over.

Why do you have such short ku friends?

No kidding...however, given our performances against UT, AU, and ku, teams hovering around #20, it seems we should be around #25.

I believe each solo tackle and tackle for loss by McClinton occurred after Bedore was gone.

Star Wars inferences??  LOL . . .

Who said I was angry??  In my original post on this thread I was simply (and in some cases rhetorically) lamenting KSU's overall strategy.   In typical Hoax fashion, you opted too turn it into a masturbatory (yourself) session over the individual play of a couple of ku players . . . then followed it with paraphrasing a line from Star Wars.

Sad . . .

Plus it's a simple question, why are you and ku fans so giddy??  KSU isn't a rival of ku.
