Losing a close game at Auburn was even better than if we beat ku. Prince is a big picture guy; getting the brand out to the recruits is the primary mission. Once he gets recruits on a national scale to think about K-State, trivialities like ku will take care of themselves. Kids outside this area don't care about ku-KSU. They want their peers watching them on national tv vs. UCLA, Miami, VTech, etc. I think it's positive that we have opened the doors for California and kids on the east coast. They are untapped areas to find rough diamonds. The state of Texas is phenominal in regards to talent, but we cannot build a nationally competitive program with kids that can't get offers from national powers, A&M, UT, OU and assorted conference brethern.
I also have a bad feeling about CU. If we cannot go vertical, CU will pack the box, and from what I've seen, CU has a better defense. On offense, they are a better overall running team and effectively use the ground game to set up the pass.
