Thinking about our offense has kind of got me worried.  We just aren't producing enough.  We had 24 against ku, which is okay, but I am not sure our defense is good enough to consistently keep teams under 20.  Its close though.

We only scored 20 points at Texas and the last TD was basically in junk time, if not for the defense and special teams, we lose.  I do think our defense is good enough to get points from time to time, same with the special teams, but we can't rely on that.

To become a real threat the rest of the way we really have to start consistently moving the ball and putting up points.  I don't see that happening without a solid run game, or unless we try to start going down field more often.

Most of the offenses in this league are high power, high scoring offenses.  We have to be able to score right with them,  because I think its unrealistic to expect our defense to shut all these teams down.

CU, ISU, and Baylor are teams, I think defensively we could handle.  But OSU, Mizzou, Nub(though NU was shut down by MU) are teams we have to be able to score with.

    The very best.
allowing 30 points at home = unacceptable.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Agreed.

Missed tackles, missed assignments killed us.  I still love our players and our scheme, but we gotta work on some fundamentals defensively.

He's right though.  Our offense is good for 14 points a game, more if our defense or special teams sets them up.  14 might be good enough in the NFL, but keeping spread offenses under 14 is tough.

We've gotta find some offense that isn't a short pass to Jordy.  I know everyone is saying "This IS Prince's offense.." but it's hard for me to believe that thinking back to last year.  Our offense was completely different.  We'd run the ball AND throw deep.  Now all we do is throw short passes.

You're right, no doubt.  But at home, we should be able to put up more than 24, especially considering the shorts fields we had to work with.

I know I sound like a broken record but the defense lost this game, we went up with 6 minutes left(correct?) and gave it right back.
