The Buffaloes are 4-2 (2-0) with wins over Colorado State and Oklahoma and losses at Arizona State and to Florida State.

QB Cody Hawkins has completed 58% of his passes so far in 2007 for 1,457 yards with 10 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He threw for 306 yards against Florida State and has 2 TD passes in 4 of their first 6 games.

RB's Hugh Charles and Demetrius Sumler have rushed for 650 yards (4.5 yards/carry) and 6 touchdowns. Charles had 123 yards with a TD vs. Miami, OH and had another TD in the win over Oklahoma. Sumler had 91 yards vs. Miami, OH and had 2 of his 4 TD's in yesterday's win at Baylor.

Charles and Sumler will run behind an offensive line that has four upperclassmen starters. It's an offensive line that has already allowed Hawkins to be sacked 6 times.

WR's Scotty McKnight and Patrick Williams are Hawkins' go to guys. McKnight has 311 yards on 25 catches (12.4 yards/catch) with two touchdowns. His biggest game came against Colorado State where he had 106 yards on 8 catches (13 yards/catch) and a touchdown. He also had a touchdown at Arizona State. Williams has 159 yards on 18 catches (9 yards/catch). His biggest game came against Colorado State where he had 59 yards on 5 catches (12 yards/catch).

The defense is lead by up front by DT's George Hypolite and Brandon Nicolas. The guy to watch in the LB corps is MLB Jordon Dizon and in the secondary LCB Terrence Wheatley is all conference. It's a defense that is allowing 308 yards (207 passing and 101 rushing) and 21 points/game. Yesterday, at Baylor, the Buffs allowed 410 yards/passing.

Thank goodness.  We can exploit them with our long-range passing game.
