After sleeping on the events that transpired yesterday I think it's time for the KSU fanbase to recalibrate their reality meters.  Words like 'dynasty' can no longer be used to refer to a brief period of marginal success out of manhattan kansas on the gridiron.  Your self proclaimed 'bold and daring dynasty' is really no more than a blip on the radar and I can only assume that years down the road you'll still be reminiscing about the glory days when KSU enjoyed a moderate amount of success for a little over a decade.

I'll give credit where credit is due....Bill Snyder circa 1993-2004 when he started creating hope in hundreds of purple clad perenial losers.  In the end he left his program with a very passionate fanbase...albeit delusional...but passionate nonetheless.  Similar situations have transpired at various schools across the country over the years only to have their hopes and dreams dashed by the eventual loss of the head coach responsible for their success.  Can Ron Prince keep the Wildcats from sinking back into the quicksand of mediocrity?  Time will tell but one thing is for certain: your momentary dominance over the Jayhawks is over.  In the immortal words of Tenacious D "the time has come to pass the torch...you're too old to rock...there is no more rockin' for you."

Sincerely,

Reality :ku:

He probably thought about the first post he used it and thought it was so clever the first time that it needed it's own thread.

Hey, my sentiments exactly!

It's funny how the ku-bashing has already commenced. Most of you were pretty humble last night...now, per my prediction, you're already back in la-la land, desperately trying to come up with reasons why "It just CAN'T be over!" It's over. You're finished. I'm sure it was fun while it lasted.

I might be fat but do you really think that turning to personal insults is the most effective way to respond to a somewhat rational statement about our 'rivalry'?

what if you somehow manage to only win 3 big 12 games?  ISU and baylor are locks but the rest are not.  What if we go on to win 5?

his words, not mine.  I still think we're a solid team.  I think you have a solid team.  I think the closeness of the game on Saturday showed that.

Diff between us, we feel like world beaters after beating tx on the road, you feel like world beaters after beating ksu on the road.

No that game wasn't that close yesterday.  I doubt if the two teams played 10 times if KSU would even win once at home.

6 point win isn't close?  Christ it's not like we were down 30-6 and scored against your scrubs.

Perhaps ku will end up bowl eligible this year, like last year.  All it takes is to go 2-6 in the Big 12.  You definitely know how to do that! :nahnah:

I hope we do make it a bowl this year.  By the way the "we" is KSU, not ku....and "we" have lost two in a row to ku, not one.
