What irked me the most is that I didn't see emotion on the faces of anybody in purple after the first quarter.  WTF?

I honestly don't think it was that they wanted it more or anything emotional like that.  They simply executed better than we did in all phases of the game.  God I'm sick of needing trick plays to score touchdowns.

WOW, I had to listen to it on the internet... but I looked at my wife when ku went up the first time and I told her, "I think we might lose." I am going to have a little Jameson on ice, and a backwoods cigar to reflect.

I don't care about using trick plays to score TDs, I'll take whatever works.  I'm just sick of the blatantly stupid playcalls on 3rd down.  (3rd and 11...draw to Johnson for -1.)  (3rd and 9...3 yard pass to Mastrud) (3rd and 15...5 yard pass to Jordy)

*FYI those weren't specific examples from the game, just random.

I wouldnt call the playcalling so much stupid as it was conservative.  At any given time, a draw on 3rd and 10 can be an excellent call if you catch the defense right, but KSUs unwillingness to take chances hurt them.  Its not the plays you call, its when you call them.

    I'm with Coco.
Our playcalling on offense never put Freeman into position to make plays. We needed more options, instead of just having 3 wideouts.

I thought our defense was good, but &@#%, they looked clueless out there.

Holy sh*t I'm tired of people making excuses for Freeman and how he "doesn't get put into position to make more plays."  He had his opportunities... he threw three of them into the defenses hands.  As of last year and this year he's an average quarterback.  Maybe he'll become more but right now he's just meh.

The #1 unacceptable for me was the linebackers.  They looked completely lost out there today.  A close second would be either offensive or defensive line.

I could not believe how little emotion/fire/heart the entire team played with.  Very disappointing.

Offense did not lose the game, but they didn't win it either obviously.

Defense lost this game period.

agreed but only b/c they cant seem to tackle.  the defensive play calling put the team in a good situation most of the time but sharp and that other hb consistently broke the first "tackle" attempt, if you can call it that.  WRAP UP!

I don't think the "can't" tackle, they just didn't today.  They tackled well against tx and auburn, we just sucked.

i agree.  i suppose cant was the wrong term.  but for as much as prince talks about wanting to dominate in state, in recruiting and otherwise, he really doesnt seem to care when we dont.

Freeman's worst game since ku '06.  His timing was horrendous.

i've never seen a team play up and down to match competition like the cats. on the road in austin we punch them in the mouth and kept our foot on their throats. this week, at home against ku: start teh game with a pick, one pass to jordy torches talib, proceed to blow the momentum by the end of the first quarter. why, why, why, why? i know establishing a running game is important to winning, but the hb dive and draw plays up teh middle that get stuffed are not going to do it. especially on third an d long.
and the defense looked like they were playing two hand touch. so many missed arm tackles on runs up the middle.

never been more frustrated watching football my entire life
