1. Our university isn't known as Shawnee Mission Far West.
2. Our coach stays in shape with his dance moves.
3. Our mascot is a real animal instead of a frontier verb meaning "to
loot."
3. We actually travel with our team (ku had to give back 275
non-purchased tickets from its allotment).
4. We have more than one good sports team.
5. We are No. 1 in the Big 12 Conference with our Alumni Association.
6. A ku football player was almost killed in a tragic horseback-riding
accident. He fell off the horse and was nearly trampled to death until
the manager of K-mart came out to unplug it.
7. K-State graduates have more options with their degree instead of
saying, "Would you like fries with that?"
8. Our city wasn't burnt to the ground. To bad Quantrell didn't finish
the job.
9. The best four years of a ku graduate's life is the third grade.
10. ku thought about changing their mascot to the opossum because they
play dead at home and get killed on the road.
11. A ku grad with half a brain is considered gifted.
12. K-State's Landon Lecture Series brings in notable speakers.
13. When Mangino asks how to get to Manhattan, people say, "keep
eating."
14. K-State is one of the top land-grant schools in the nation.
15. Aggieville is the oldest shopping district in Kansas.

I don't get it?

What, did I stutter?

Translation for the slow:  He holds the same place in the KSUFans hierarchy as you do in yours.  It's not a compliment.

1) Most city kids have no interest in farming but many want to study business, law, or medicine
2) your coach is fat
3 (1st one) ) a jayhawker is a kansan who defended the states from pro-slavery millitias and put their life on the line for the freedom of others.
3 (2nd one) ) Why would we want to travel to places like Manhattan?
4) ku's athletic program is far more successful than KSU
5) KSU has the smallest endowment in the Big 12
6) old joke that originated somewhere else
7) read #6
8) are you saying you support slavery?
9)  :ku:
10) what is KSU record on the road historically?
11) Fact: ku is the flagship university of the state and therefore has higher level academics than the aggie school.
12) you got us there
13) not even remotely witty or funny
14) this is like saying we are one of the best of the losers
15) wow...you must be so proud.

Hey. I'm a KSU fan second and root for KSU all the time.  I went nuts the whole texas game and loved every second of it.

This list is just so bad I can't help myself.

nah, I just saw this listed posted on one of our boards and felt compelled to comment on it!

I actually root for KSU when they are playing other teams, Rutgers for example.

A good bowl showing is better for the conference as a whole.

You know that line in A Few Good Men: Unit, Corp, God, Country?

My own motto is: school, state, conference!

So yes I was rooting for KSU against Texas, and I'll be rooting for Missouri against Nebraska ... but tomorrow I'll only be cheering for the Hawks!

Beak 'em!

what is up with 'lowrents'?  That is just plain stupid.  Lawrence is a very desireable location and the rentaland real estate prices are similar to kansas city.  I'm not trying to brag but just fill you in.

Sorry for the low blow to Lawrence, i have a good friend who live there, it is nice. I would not say it is better than Manhattan, but it is ok. Classy i suppose.

Also a sh*thole, FYI.

kono

how?  #7 in the country in culinary excelence per capita.  Great local music scene.  One of the most diverse populations in the country.  Effective government and modest taxes.  Paved streets (jealous on this one i'm sure).

A beautiful campus and vibrant night life.....what is a sh*thole?

I believe Mangina's done this to his wife or vice versa.  Just a rumor though...

2) your coach is fat

Compared to Mangino, he looks like a toothpick.

Quote
4) ku's athletic program is far more successful than KSU

What timeframe are you talking about? Believe me, nobody cares about the Missouri Valley Conference days.

Quote
10) what is KSU record on the road historically?

As of now, it is 25-20 since the formation of the Big 12, which at least ranks 4th in the conference.  At one point (possibly 2002), KSU was ranked first in the conference in that area.  ku would have to be either 11th or 12th I'm sure.

you can bend statistics any way you want but the truth is ku has better athletics....football and perhaps womens basketball during the big 12 era are the exceptions.

Beak 'em originated in the mid-Eighties, some bookstore in Lawrence started it ...

In the last year or so, a movement has begun to meld it with a hand gesture like the Texas schools, you know: gig 'em, hook 'em, guns up, etc ...

I'd say only fifteen to twenty percent of Jayhawk fans like or use "beak 'em" even less employ the hand gesture ...

and at least our mascot has an entire suit, not just the head ... where can we send checks to help you all pay for the rest of it for Willie?

Just because you know where something came from does NOT legitimize how absolutely retarded it is.  Also, at least our mascot doesn't look like it belongs in the San Fransisco Thanksgiving Day parade with those delicate shades of blue and red, right big boy???

 :kugayfight:

Furthermore, stop talking.
