You'll never understand B&D.

Maybe but I do know what a Dynasty is and I'd like to know how anything that KSU has ever done in sports could be considered one.

according to most sources a dynasty is:

A succession of rulers from the same family or line.

or

A family or group that maintains power for several generations: a political dynasty controlling the state.

Now don't get me wrong...you guys had a good run from about 95-03 in football but that isn't even close to 'several generations'.

I will say that it is 'Bold and Daring' to claim a 'Dynasty' but in a foolishly ignorant way.

Now you're just being mean

How?

i am asking a question that is completely relevant to the title of this forum.  How is that mean?  Is it mean to point out that as an outsider with a basic understanding of the English language I don't understand the use of 'dynasty' in the title?

ku basketball isn't a dynasty. They may dominate the season, but the tournament is where dynasties shine. And ku doesn't really shine in the tourny.

Every dynasty must have a starting point.  This is Prince's Dynasty of being Bold and Daring.  Kind of like Bill Self's dynasty of choking in the tourney.  Or Mangino's dynasty of losing road games.

ku football fans are cute. They probably look at us the same way when we talk basketball.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

By the definition of several generations, the only dynasties in sports have been the yankees and notre lame.

Sports is a different animal.

No charge (this time) for the lesson.

It's like Mark Mangino's Short and Obese Dynasty, only entirely more successful.

Why'd you go to Johnson County Community College for several years? I didn't think ku fans liked JUCO's.

wrong.

ku, UNC, IU, Kentucky, UCLA basketball are all considered dynasties and rightly so....they have won championships by two or more generations of players.

1952 = WWII generation and 1988 = Late Baby Boomer generation

How about the Green Bay Packers?  The Dallas Cowboys?

I don't buy that, but if you are indeed a "manager," you're probably the guy in a short-sleeve white shirt with an ink stain on the pocket and pants that are just a little too short who everyone laughs at after you turn the corner to walk down the hall.

Did ya get the memo??

I thought your definition says "MAINTAINS POWER."  Just winning in two different generations does not me that they maintained power that long... it just means that they were good (probably lucky) twice.

What do the people under you (ksu grads) make you feel so little at work that you have to resort to posting on our message board.  I'm scared.   :ohno:

Maintains power could be interpreted in many ways.  I think my interpretation is sound.
