I wonder how early you have to be there to get a good seat.

Band is in GA now, so really there are no good seats. Get there asap(when gates open) if you want a half way decent one.

like, how early for the ku game?  and what yardline?  i don't really care how good it is, i just want it somewhere close enough to the field where i can get more into the game.

Just a guess here, but I'm betting the first section(closest to icat) will fill up within a half hour of opening because the band takes the lower half. I think it goes from about the 25 yd line to the 5 or so. The next goes from about the 5 yd line on past the end zone. If you have to sit here sit middle of the section because if you get too low you can't see sh*t on the south side of the field and sit on the isle( less people to have to look over). So I don't know what your plans are, but if you want to sit in that first section(my recommendation) get inside by 9:30ish or have someone go in and save seats.

    The very best.
I have a love/hate relationship with the student section.

It's great because you can cheer w/o people giving you the look.

But I hate having to come 90 minutes before the game, and some college students are just dumb.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I like that corner. They always seem to be b*tching about something no other part of the stadium sees.

Is that the SW corner? if so, that was my old seats for like 10 years, ending last year.  we were the very first row in the SW corner.  we had the "Saba Zone" poster.

I've heard more bitching in that corner because we never get the cat cannon aimed at us then anything particular in the game.  Most of the old bags sit down the whole game and watch the videoboard instead of turning their heads to the field.

I used to be section 13 row 16 seats 32; but this year, I've been going to where the scalped tickets take me.  It's worked extremely well so far. I've only had to sit in the free "VIP" section (section 2B) once, during fort riley day; but as I was complaining about the seats, I looked to my right and was about 20 feet away from Bill Snyder and his family in the box.  So after each play I got to look over at Bill to see what his reaction was.

He wasn't even paying attention.   Just talking to people.
