um....1 INT...three pass breakups...not sure how many tackles...but he shut down Sweed and Cosby on the outside and didn't let MCoy beat him over the top.

I gave him plenty of sh@t after the average to poor play at Auburn with all the flags..then letting the TD get by him against San Jose State....... but McKinney has responded well. my bad.

Oh, and this...

Hopefully his stellar, shutdown corner play continues.  Looks like he may have learned a thing or three during the off week.

McKinney is one of the most athletic/talented guys on the team, IMO. That is why everyone gets so frustrated when he takes one step forward with a big play then one step backward with a boneheaded penalty.

I used to get so pissed whenever he was on the side of the field closest to the student section....he would seemingly not realize that there was a game being played as he 'pumped up' the student section and trash talked to visitors....then he would have like an "oh crap" moment when ball was hiked.

He's grown up fast.  Seems much more mature.

Yeah, that was a little worried about McKinney.  Hopefully he's turned a corner, and will be more reliable and consistant.  That was fantastic performance on his part.  It's reminding me of the difference between Dyshod Carter as an underclassman and Carter as a SR.

McKinney has always been a very solid corner, against the run and pass.  Bonehead plays and his tendency to slip (he really does slip alot) at the worst times cost quite a few of big plays throughout his career.  But as far as speed/physicality goes, he's one of the best.
Recruiting is just a big tease.

he needs to have more than one good game before people eat crow.  he also got away with a penalty in this game on one of his pass breakups.

Don't forget that at the beginning of Watts's career that he too committed a bunch of bonehead personal foul penalties.

The pass 15 feet above the receiver's head?

I agree there was a LITTLE contact on that play. - but uncatchable

first, it was actually a pretty catchable ball for someone who is reasonably athletic and hadnt just gotten drilled for no apparent reason by a corner who seemed to have no idea where the ball was.

second, ive seen mckinney get called for a penalty/personal foul on a much more uncatchable ball than that one.

third, LITTLE?  really?

Alright...., he just talked a bunch of trash on ku...sigh

""I feel like we're tougher than those guys," McKinney said of Kansas. "We're faster than them. We're smarter than them. In my head, I don't see how you can compare us to them."

He'd better back it the frack up. idiot.
