The post so nice, I shared it twice!

ISU:  81 yard punt return for TD, 41 yard KO return
FAU:  88 KO return for TD
Marshall:  Blocked punt

UL:  Bad special teams
BU:  Bad special teams

OSU:  95 yard KO return for TD, Blocked punt for TD
NU:  Bad special teams
MU:  Average special teams
ISU:  Muffed punt recovery
CU:  Average special teams
UT:  52 yard punt return, blocked punt
ku:  KO return for TD
RU:  Punt return for TD

2007

AU:  Arguably, special teams errors cost KSU the game

SJSU:  Blocked punt, 56 yard return
MSU:  80 yard punt return for TD, 44 yard punt return
UT:  85 yard KO return for TD, 89 yard punt return for TD

They may try to tell you there are three parts to every game:  Offense, defense, and special teams.

Typically the best teams only excell at one of the above.

If you excell at all three, typcially you suck in the wins department.

Just football common sense.

If there’s one thing that ku can teach us, it’s that gaudy point  production against overmatched opponents is far more important than winning football games with excellent special teams play, an opportunistic defense that can stop the run and force turnovers, and an efficient offense.

Good pick up on the misspelling.  If you could correct the grammatical and syntax errors, I’d appreciate it as well.

Thanks in advance.

How is ku's special teams?

They have 3 TD's in 4 games, and lead the country in KO returns, so I guess it's pretty good.

I didn't realize that before I started the thread over there.  (They're so damn irrelevant to me).

    shame on you, non-believers
We're 26th in KR and #1 in PR. 42nd in net punting and 48th in TO margin.

ku is #1 in KR, 40th in PR, 95th in net punting, and T-18th in TO margin.

Think there's a huge opportunity on punt returns for K-State? ku apparently hasn't done real well covering punts, and we're numero uno in returning them.

I see us winning the field position battle by a fairly wide margin.

    Fear the Brick
Mack Brown thinks special teams are overrated, or rather not part of the "real game".  He's sounding like the most bitter coach this side of Pinkel after MU lost to ISU.
