Have you heard any follow up on this story or any reaction from ku fans?

My impression is the kid is a complete whiner.  Sure, it's sad that your career is over, but grow some balls and be a man.  They didn't throw him out of the program and they didn't tell him not to come around.  They're just busy.  If he still wants to be a part of the team he should get in there and watch some film and talk to the guys instead of sulking around with these paranoid delusions that nobody likes him if he can't play.

It's really sad that the Star saw fit to print that.  It's a disservice to a kid who probably just needs a friend outside the program to bitch about things with.  Instead, he naively poured out his feelings to a reporter and publicly crapped all over the people who do actually care about him.

I don't know, if he can get back into action, maybe even be a starter at ku, then get arrested a couple of times only to keep playing . . . I would say that then, and only then, would he be free.

I see no good reason why Mangino shouldn't use his first time out tomorrow on this.

I told coach, if I could play one more down … just let me stand. Put me out there and call a timeout and take me out. Just let me leave like that.

Re: If Eric Washington had only been arrested 6 or 7 times . . .

...Bill Snyder would've recruited him.
