3 of his former assistants with top 10 teams this week.

Wisconsin is 5th, even if they are overrated
South Fla is up to 6th after their impressive win over WV
OU still 10th despite losing to CU

Heck even fatboy has his Hawks at 28th in the coaches (40th in AP)

I am just glad our program is in good hands with Ron Prince and it is damn sweet to be back in the top 25

"im giving this guy a big 'yo'" ~lee corsoi agree, snyder knew how to pick and raise 'em. stoops is probably the most hated/most successful of the snyder assistants, only because of some shady recruiting that happened when he left to move up the ranks in his career.  :crybaby:

"only because of some shady recruiting that happened when he left to move up the ranks in his career."

What, I can't hate OU just because they are OU?

The recruiting issues, to me, have never fallen on Bob as much as Mangino, Stoops, and Venables.

BTW, how about Mike Stoops?  It was not too smart for him to take the U of A job.  U of A football is all about a commiment to mediocrity.

to be completely honest i was born and raised an ou fan. i loved stoops and how he won with a rag-tag bunch in 2000. ok, so it wasnt exactly a cinderella story, the defense was pretty stout. but offensively they didnt have much star power. but i digress, i've heard alot about what happened here when stoops left and i have to say that some of it was a little sketchy. however, he has proven himself as one of the premier coaches in the country. all he needs now is to win one more big one to get the monkey of his back about losing two straight.

I am still surprised that they hired Ron Prince. I just hope he can recruit.

stoops is probably the most hated/most successful of the snyder assistants...

I think that you would have to give the most successful tag to Levett... yeah no NC (yet) but MAN that guy created what they have down there in S FL. There was nothing there prior and that is all his. I think that he is a bad-ass and he was my pick for replacing Snyder. MAN, I love that guy!!!
