    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Yep, I wrote it. I believed it. But the Wildcats showed me otherwise. They're a hell of a team. I'm impressed.

'Hatter, as usual, is dead-on. Maybe he'd like to be this week's "I Got Five On It."

Again, I was wrong. I can "man up" and admit when I was wrong. For the record, I'm not an expert at picking games. And, for the record, I'll never expect big things from a Mack Brown-coached team again.

Hope that suffices...

    warm up the EMAW
I'm not sure how I feel about Prince's "calloused" B.S. and if the Auburn game has anything to do with it.  But I know this, Texas wasn't prepared for us and we were.  Whether that is off-week vs. looming RRS or what we'll never know, but we sure as hell weren't rattled going in to Austin against a top-10 team.

If Prince tells the team they learned a by playing at Auburn and the subsequent result is a win at Texas, does it matter what the real reasons are if the team plays loose?

I think Catzacker's words might be right about us just being a good team (and Texas being a little worse than we all thought), but Prince brings something to the table with these games.  From the non-con scheduling to the sideline reactions to the talk and the walk there is something different.  period.

The idea that we wouldn't have beaten Texas without playing UL is amazingly stupid.  How did beating USC in '02 help us against CU and UT?  If anything, UT's schedule allows them to
-play a number of players thus maintaining quality, experienced depth should an injury occur
-work on things in live games without really having to worry about losing that game
-gain confidence by pounding teams

...if we win at Texas it won't be because we played Auburn, it'll be because we are probably a good team.

Great team, especially defense and special teams (read tomorrow's Eagle!). The offense has a ways to go, yet, but if the defense continues to force turnovers and Josh continues to protect the ball, the offense doesn't have to be great, just good enough.

I've doubted Ron Prince plenty. No more. He clearly had/has a plan. It works. Good for him; good for you guys.

We'll have to play perfect football to win it.

Penalties - 3/23
Turnovers - 0
Texas Turnovers - 4
Special Teams scores - 2
Defensive scores - 1
Beat UT in TOP and first downs
Ron Prince dance - BADASS

Somehow, Hatter's projections are the most accurate when KSU does well.

hatter before the 2005 season (in a pm to me)

But I'm dog crap scared for our young OL. I'm not sure how good ku's front 7 will be w/ out McMillan and Toomey though. McMillan was an outstanding player and when Toomey was healthy he was All-Big 12 caliber. Kane did play a lot so they won't lose too much there but on the whole their defense has played a ton together because they started getting some of those players on the field way back in '02.

I look at it this way...we'll be more talented at the 4 positions along the OL than we were in '04 and that includes Johnson at center because Schmidt is the REAL DEAL. He has the flexibility, agility, and size to be a terrific OL.

Sig was for the future, and look at our o-line now.
