Seems noone is talking about these two linebackers, but both of them have been playing quite well the last couple games. Props, guys! They both made good plays against TX and were in on a lot of tackles. We lose Roland but Houlik is just a Soph. A little small, but that's ok. Josh Buhl, II ???

Roland has been a great suprise this year.

He was due to have a breakout year.

Cline and Manu have also been a nice surprise.  Manu hits like a &@#%ing train.

A. Moore  :'(

Never a bad thing to have an Ace in the hole with one more year of FBIQ.

Roland has been a great suprise this year.

QFT.  Houlik and Roland have been good.  I was concerned about losing our top two tacklers in Archer and Diles (no matter how much people didn't appreciate/like Archer). Childs really doesn't do anything for me, although he's kind of tough to throw over.

Manu hits like a fracking train.

Manu did have a good game as well. Good to hear his name called (non-penalty plays).

I will have to say -- although we didn't have arguably two of our best defenders on the field, this staff has done a really good job of building depth. Cheatam had a couple really nice plays as well (that saved our butts down the field).

Archer was solid, but he wouldn't start on any of our great defenses in the past.

Did you happen to notice who was right behind Johnson on his KO return TD?  John Houlik.  He does have some speed.

Roland is playing really well.

Smoke was out there early on, I think we will still see good things from him.  It may just take half the season for him to catch up, ala Rob Jackson.

And yea, I will like our linebackers next year too.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Seriously, isn't it amazing how many of Prince's guys end up contributing?  I looked at the 2006 class, and pretty much every JUCO that's still here is doing something, like 70% of the JUCOs that signed with KSU.  Snyder was like a one and three shot for a JUCO guy to contribute.

I really was worried when Diles got drafter, archer nearly made NFL that we would suck on defense.

Of course, that was before we had all been tibesared.

"Josh Buhl, II"

No, there will not be another Josh Buhl.

"Archer was solid, but he wouldn't start on any of our great defenses in the past."

Archer would have started over Litton in '99, and you could make arguments in other years as well.
