- Injuries can wreck our season, and hopefully Marcus will be back, cause we can't lose more than that.  A Freeman injury would be devastating, but he's not getting hit very often so odds are good he can stay healthy all season.  I don't even want to think of an injury to Jordy...Pierce definitely needs to step up or he'll end up as I predict him to be.  I'll give LaMark a chance until his sophmore year...he needs to make some sort of impact then.

- I know everyone says this but we do need a vertical threat in our offense to keep the defense honest.  It seems like we always march down the field the first play, our opponents make changes, and then we struggle to get much the rest of the game.  Like mentioned earlier, Ernie needs to step up because defenses definitely know about Jordy now.  Is the fact that Leon is in Ron's doghouse the reason for his lack of carries?  Hopefully he gets his crap together, he really kept things going when our passing game was stalling.

- Our schedule sets up nicely.  Our toughest games are at OSU and NU, and they both have two tough road games before we play them, OSU has A&M and NU, and NU has UT and their rival ku.  OSU scares me the most because I'm not sure we can keep up if the game turns into a shoot-out.  Keller might get things rolling by the time we play them, but a few more losses can really demoralize them before our matchup.  Sounds like they are playing un-motivated football right now.  I think we can run the table at home...we'll be favorites against ku, CU and BU, and with the possibility of a north title on the line and with the game being senior day, we'll give our best effort against Missouri.  And if you skim through our seniors...Nelson, Johnson, Watts, Jackson, etc...you can expect a huge game out of all of them.

- I think we lose at OSU and finish 10-2, 7-1.  I might have to eat crow later, but I think this might happen, as long as we don't suffer any major injuries.  Every game is definitely winnable.  This brings me to Oklahoma...

- Kansas State has been spotty this year, our only good victory was at Nebraska.  There's absolutely no chance, here's a team in Oklahoma that's been giving up only 13 points a game.  Sooners BIG.  This Oklahoma team may be the best...team.....ever. :peek:

Nebraska lost half their defensive line to injuries.   They are beat up badly.

The secondary is ripe for the picking.

If we can keep from hurting ourselves anymore, KSU will go into Lincoln and take another one.

Maybe we'll get unlucky and some Husker fan will have killed Cosgrove.

Isn't it crazy that we might win 10 games?

I don't want to think that far :blindfold:, but it's fun to make threads like these ;)

And OU lost to CU so anything is possible, but I say we lose at least 2 winnable games.  My only hope is neither of them is to Fagtown U.

I still want my cooler, bitches!

    The very best.
stunner, that recruits thread was lolicious!
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

    This ZERO is my Hero
I just want to see some consistency and win next week.  I think we will because we're a year older and wiser and will not want a repeat of last year.  I think the leaders on the team won't allow it.

I am reserving judgement until after next week.  Can't lose at home... to ku.

I said to my friends last night, "this is setting up to be just like the 2003 season, only better"

How is it setting up to be like the 2003 season?  KSU started 0-2 that year, and OU went undefeated through the Big 12 regular season.  Now K-State starts 1-0, and OU starts 0-1.  But I will admit, that is certainly better.

We went into the Hoax game last year with, what, six starters down and Jordy hardly able to run.
This year, we'll be healthier than the UT game.
There'll be no repeat.
