Only stayed for the first half, and thoroughly unimpressed.

ku's secondary (including Talib) can and should be exposed by a good team.

Reesing is small, and never once did I see a legit spiral.

O/D-lines looked small.

Mcanderson fumbles a lot.

WR's are big and pretty quick, but quite a few drops.

Rivera looks decent, but sometimes slow in the head.

FIU's qb ran all over the place on 'em in the first half. Screens and draws should work on them.

Crowd was weak. Lots of people left at half.

my sources say similar. Reesing throws are LOL. Mcanderson runs a 4.7 tops.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

they won 55 -3 so they couldn't have been as bad as you make them seem. I do think we can pressure the hell outta Resseing's 5"9 punk ass.

1. Did you actually watch the game?

2. Reesing was awesome last night.  He has great pocket awareness for a QB, has good instincts, and throws a very good football.  He's been throwing perfect spirals all year long.  He has also shown the ability to run the option and make great decisions with the football.

3. ku's secondary is much better than it was last season.  Talib is incredible, and there's depth opposite of him with Chris Harris, Kendrick Harper, and Phillip Strozier.  ku doesn't even play Anthony Webb, who had 2 picks and a TD against K-State last season.  Seriously, your FBIQ is horrible if you think there's anything wrong with ku's secondary.  K-State, IIRC, is the team with suspensions and injuries plaguing your secondary.

4.  O/D-lines looked small?  Were you in the nosebleed section?  Anthony Collins and Caesar Rodriguez, ku's starting tackles, go 6'6 310, and 6'7 300.  The rest of the o-line is 6'3 300, 6'3 305, and 6'4 310.  The d-line features one of the best d-tackles in the Big 12 in James McClinton, and Todd Haselhort is 6'4 300, and would start for K-State.  You must have been referring to FIU.

5.  McAnderson's fumbles were bad, but they were both on breakaway runs where he was trying to gain extra yards within the 20 yard line.  This was the first game I've ever seen him fumble.  He scored a couple nice TD's in the 2nd half and will run right over K-State's linebackers.

6.  Rivera brings the woodshed on every tackle.  Mortensen had a better game though and would be starting at Nebraska right now if Callahan wasn't incompetent.  James Holt had a nice game also and ku's linebackers looked good against the speed of FIU.

ku beat FIU worse than Penn State and Miami, and now has 20 votes in the Coaches poll.  I hope your team underestimates ku as much as your fans seem to be doing.  I don't know what the hell you've seen from K-State that's so impressive, but ku has looked dominant.  I don't care what you say about competition, this ku team is legit.  I will be shocked if K-State has improved as much from last season as ku, and we beat your team 39-20.  It probably should have been more, but Kerry Meier's shoulder was bothering him and he turned the ball over a couple times in the red zone.

Can't wait until October 6th!!!

Like I said I left at half, and it was 20-3.

They'd had multiple turnovers, at least 3 dropped passes (one in the endzone that ended up costing them a td I believe), Reesing threw a couple really bad balls that should have been picked off, and ku in general looked really flat/lazy in a lot of positions.

Obviously could be a lot of excuses. Not being pumped to play your fourth straight cupcake, or just an "off half".

They won't be able to play a first half like that in the big 12.

I'm not trying to make them seem bad. They just didn't look very good, and FIU was terrible.

So I guess all these guys voting for ku to be top 25 and the guys who are ranking Aqib Talib as one of the top CB's in the country are all just biased.  I'm sure that these scores and statistics are just a result of ku having a terrible football team.  I'm sure there was no bias in the initial post from a K-State fan who attended a ku game.

1. Yes...first half.

2. Didn't say Reesing looked bad. He did get away with a couple throws that should have been picked off, though. Not that he's the only qb to ever do that.

3. FIU had some pretty small/weak looking wr's and I saw them behind the ku secondary on a few occasions and their terrible qb had no idea what was going on so he'd take off for 15 yards.

4. Sat 35 yard line on row 9, and I've been to probably well over 100 college football games, so I think I have some idea of what big linemen look like. And ku's didn't look that big.

5. Fumbles were bad and came at awkward times. Looked like he just forgot he was carrying the football.

6. Rivera is the biggest mooch I've ever seen. He consistantly got to plays late and therefore someone would already have the ball carrier by the foot and he'd jump on to finish it. QB ran right by him a few times.

7. October 6th is going to be fun.

Didn't Toledo beat Iowa State?

Didn't Nebraska barely sneak out a win against Ball State?

How bad is Mizzou's defense?

What has been so impressive about K-State?

Have you seen Colorado's depth chart?

Um, Penn State won 59 to 0 vs. FIU.  Last I checked 59 points was more than ku's 52 point margin, Einstein.

BTW, LOL at comparative scoring.  Does this make Wofford > Penn State?

Fumbles, dropped balls, wobbly overthrows. Not being biased. It all happened did it not. And yeah you can say they came back and played a great second half because they did, but if that were a real opponent might have been a little different story.

Name one QB who throws a tight spiral on every throw.  Reesing's throws are mostly spirals, but sometimes he does throw on the run and doesn't get as nice of a ball to the receiver.  I could care less how his throw looks as long as it goes to the receiver and not the defensive back as Josh Freeman continually likes to do.

I've already pointed out your bias in the o-line/d-line.  They are far from "small."

This same FIU team only lost 23-9 to Miami (FL) and had a lot of success running on Miami's defense.  The same cannot be said for their performance against ku.  Say what you want about level of competition.

You picked a play in which Reesing throws a TD pass on the run to a receiver 35 yards downfield.  That's far from proof that he never throws a tight spiral.
