I don't think Central Michigan is built to go up against BCS competition.  They do well against MAC teams but just don't match up to BCS teams.  They are  not big enough and strong enough up front and BCS teams just run right over them.   Some teams like say Toledo is middle of the pack in the MAC and lost to central Michigan head to head but they match up better with ku then Central Michigan did.  Not to say Toledo is going to win the game today but they will fare better then Central Michigan did.

The entire San Jose vs Central Michigan argument is dumb.  We'll never know who is better and comparitive scores vs. the same team mean nothing much less comparitive scores against two totally different teams that will never face each other.  I don't think either team is nearly as good as they were last season.

From 64-0 to 39-20.  Yes, that's progress.  Thanks for your time.

BTW, Purdue is probably the 3rd-best team in the Big 10 behind Ohio State and Penn State.
LOL!!! Just like ku is better than Auburn, right?!

And I'm sure that that 2002 team was equal to the 2006 team, right? You're a joke.

It's amazingly stupid to compare the team that beat ku 64-0 to the team that ku beat 39-20, and then claim progress.  Because our program has lowered itself to ku's level does not mean ku made progress, it means that KSU has regressed.

Ummm... okay then, catzacker.  Keep telling yourself that ku hasn't improved since going 0-8 in the Big 12 in '02 and losing to K-State 64-0.

You go right ahead.

I'm not really saying ku doesn't have a decent team, but just because ku can compete with the current version of KSU, doesn't mean it made progress.  I don't have time to get into this, but making progress doesn't mean beating one team...try going to bowl games in back to back years, try making it the B12CG, hell, try going .500 in conference....THAT is progress, not pasting an average KSU team.

Come on guys, ku has improved.  They've gone from 2 conference wins under Terry Allen to 3 conference wins under Mangino.

Coincidentally, this happened at the same time that K-state, Nebraska, and Colorado completely dropped off the national radar and rankings.  Entirely coincidental though.

And I disagree with one point catzacker..Bowl games and win totals don't mean anything anymore.  With FOUR nonconference games, all cupcakes, all at home, you can easily make a bowl game and inflate your win total by doing exactly what ku is doing.

The only things that matter are conference wins, national rankings, north titles, and big xii titles.

What, did Wisconsin join the WAC while I wasn't looking?

Decent is one thing, but claiming the #7 ranked team is (at best) fourth in their own conference is a whole new level of delusion.

Oh, I know.  I was suggesting Michigan State was better than Purdue.

Yeah, but at least that's a close call.  Purdue vs. Michigan is another.  Top three!  He's only defending PU because their non-con schedule looks so familiar.

Last time I checked Wisconsin was tied with The Citadel, 21-21, at home.  Consider me unimpressed.

Ancient history.  They now lead by 24.

P.S.  Games have second halves.  I hear you struggle with this concept.

Central Michigan's offense showed some signs of life and made the game somewhat respectable.  One thing is for certain; ku's pass defense is much better than last year.

Precisely what I've been telling ku fans the last year. Terry Allen can't win in a very solid North, unacceptable. Mangino barely wins in a horrible North, CONTRACT EXTENSION!

I hope the voters don't let this latest CMU blowout affect Reesing's Heisman chances.
