I think our offense definitely has the ability to put up large #'s.
The control passing attack is certainly designed for ball control - but anytime you are throwing the ball this much - easy scores from great distances are possible.
A running attack would be more indicative of a low scoring offense, IMO.
I think the fact that we haven't blown people out, is more an indication of our inexperience, and need for improvement on the O side of the line, than the inherent limitation of the offense.
To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see 45 points scored on ku and MU.

P.S. I'm a long time member (years) of GPC.  I have been hearing good things about ksufans.com - so I thought I'd join and check this place out.

plus, i don't think they come even close to opening the playbook yet.  they basically ran the same script of plays against Auburn as last years Tejas game, without the deep ball.  i'm sure once the young guys get going and our o-line is a little more experienced i think we'll be seeing more vertical passes, etc. (hopefully by the UT game).
Spoken like a true Powertard.  I love the "we're basically running vanilla on both sides of the ball" BS that some fans tell themselves to protect their fragile ego from exploding when they realize we're just not that good yet.

Did you know?  Freeman throws 3 picks a game because he doesn't want other B12 schools to know how good he really is.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

When Freeman throws another 2 picks this Saturday, we'll KNOW it's all a ruse.

What are the odds he would throw 2 picks in 3 straight games if it wasn't intentional?

Considering that Jordy is still our only steady target, we moved the ball pretty well Saturday. Deon is getting there...but is dropping throws when they should be catches. Same with Mastrud.

Our running game is average at best, and only effective if the opponent thinks we're passing. We'll see this all season long.

Granted, it was only Mizzou State, but that statement isn't necessarily true. There were several running downs when we ran off-tackle for 10-15 yards out of a double-tight formation.

As long as we play Terry Allen, there will always be a blowout alert.
