goodness people if you think Missouri State is going to score 20 plus on us then how many do you think Missouri is going to score?  I don't think our peformance against the spread in the past is relevant to this game because:

1. It's 1aa talent running the spread not Chase Daniel, Martin Rucker, Chase Coffman, Will Franklin etc.
2. totally new defense and cordinator and the d is designed to defend these type of attacks.

If this one is close that is a bad bad sign for us.  San Jose would beat Missouri State by 20 plus points as would Central Michigan or a lot of the teams we've made fun of ku and NU for playing in week 1.  Have no idea what the score will be because a lot of factors can affect scores but this shouldn't be a contest.

I don't think it will be close, but I think MSU will score some points over the course of the game.  I suppose I could be underestimating our defense, but games like this can be interesting.  And the difference is that MSU's MO is to run the ball out of the spread, which can cause some problems.  I hope we'll be fine and hold them under 14, but I think they'll probably score 10-14 against our 1s as we build a significant lead, and then score a couple in the 4th to make the score worse than it really is.  Plus, this will be the first time with this talent for the new defense to face this type of offense, and we really won't face a spread run offense the rest of the year b/c most will try to pass out of it.  I'm assuming this will be the type of offense Urban Meyer ran at Utah.

You also have to factor in the fact that althought Terry never came close to beating the Wildcats as a 1-A coach (average score 49-10), he is 1-0 vs the Cats as a 1-AA coach (10-8 score, against Snyder no less).  So he does have that going for him.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

If K-State can't beat a D-1AA opponent coached by Terry Allen at home by at least 50 points, you guys are in for some serious trouble.

I don't think we're in SERIOUS trouble.  Just like beating them by 50 doesn't mean that we're back, see N Texas 05.  Beating up on horrible teams tells you nothing of your own team.

LOL....We will be just fine.  If I remember correctly, Terry Allen never beat KSU as a ku coach.  Why there is no love for him thru the ku faithfull is beyond me.  He was a much cheaper coach then Mangino and they have the same win percentage...AD = bad job for ku

The North was a beast when Allen was at ku....
ku played real schools in the non con under Allen....
Just like they are under fatboy, ku was an average non con team and below average conference team under Allen....
Besides some nostril cleansing T.A. did nothing to bring shame to ku like the tub of goo has....

After ku fires Mangino, they will throw him under the bus, too.
