Would he have an arm or be more like an Ell Roberson type QB (not that Ell couldn't throw, but that wasn't where he excelled.)

He had a pretty decent passing game last week according to Wichita news stations.

3-8 100 yds.   He's below 50% in high school what makes you think he can complete passes in college?  He's not a quarterback.

quite making crap up.  Calling you out, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

6-8 with 91 yards and a TD passing
16 rushes for 105 yards.

75% on throws is great at any level.

"Harper completed three of his eight pass attempts for 100 yards and a touchdown."

Didn't make it up.  Must be a typo on GPC.com.

He still is not a QB.  I have seen him play more than once.  If he threw the ball well, NW would chuck it more than 8 times a game.

No way he could beat out Carson Coffman.

Double-C is legit.

Located your problem, quoting GPC.com will make you look like an idiot every time.  No big deal tho... He looked impressive from the 5-10 seconds of film they showed of him on the news

I'm going to try to do some sports photography of NW within the next 3 weeks so I'll be seeing him in person as well and may be changing my tune at that point.   We'll see.

All he wants is a shot at QB though.  If he gets his shot and it doesn't work out, he'll move somewhere else.

So if it does work out, we've got a nice dual threat QB for use in certain plays.  If it doesn't :hope:, we've got a nice receiver to add to our arsenal.

Great post, and who knows, maybe he'll end up being a dual threat with a good arm.  Stranger things have happened.

Thank you. I have no idea where Gates got those numbers.

Harper isn't going to be a DI quarterback. He just doesn't have the throwing ability, and his decision making is iffy, at best. But, wow, he's an athlete. Really, wow.

He wants to play quarterback, though, and K-State, or whoever gets him, will probably allow him to practice at QB for a year and then tell him if he wants to ever see the field, he's going to have to change positions.

He's got all the physical tools in the world to be a great player at numerous positions.  I personally think he would fit at the OLB spot or even a safety except he's not the most physical player you will see.  But if he is looking at being a QB, I think the only fit in the nation he would find would be running the option at Navy or Air Force.

    Hey, basketball!!!
Harper @ KSU = Give him a shot at QB, than stick him @ WR........or another skilled position.
