when he lowered his shoulder instead of running out of bounds on that DT not bad ass?

I think it was #95....6'4 316.

Deon: 5'7 170.

That's balls.

I thought he was impressive, especially this being his first Division 1 game.  All I ask is that he not muff punts in the return game this year.  If the team can avoid big turnovers (as they did almost the entire night), the defense appears to be good enough to carry this team and win the field position battle most of the time.  That one where he fielded it right between two defenders had me scared for a second.  It probably is not advisable to even try to field it in that circumstance.

Him trying to field that punt was downright stupid.

I doubt he risks that again, I am sure the coaches let him know that wasn't wise.
I can't wait to see more of him, he was close to breaking one or two of those punts.  I kinda wish he was on kickoff return too, instead of McKinney.

I agree about fielding that punt... I was very mad at that point. I don't care if it did work out. That will cost us 7 points the next time he tries it.  :forked:

However, he did have a good game. It will be interesting to see how he does on the sweeps against teams without quite as much speed. Still.. he gained a little yardage. I think he'll definitely make some big plays as the season progresses.

Anyone know why he wasn't back there on kickoffs? I thought he was listed as returner along with McKinney and Patton. Is it because they wanted more pressure on the kick?

He fields punts like Tory Hunter plays Center field. So smooth and everything looks effortless :ksu:
