Sucks balls we lost and there is nothing positive about that.  No moral victories but there were some things I saw tonight that I think are going to lead to future wins.

1.  Freeman- The ku and NU fans can bag on him all they want for his TD to int ratio but he played well tonight.  He threw 2 picks but one was a hail marry on the last play of the first half and the other was after the game was decided when were were in desperation mode.  He had no run game tonight and stood in there and played well in the most hostile place he'll ever play.  For the most part he played poorly on the road last year but I think this game is going to give him a big mental boost in road games.  It doesn't get any tougher then at Auburn with no run game and a left tackle playing his first d-1 game.

2. Deon Murphey- We got ourselves a player here.  The guy can run and he's got hands to go with it.  This was the fastest D we'll face and he still looked fast against them.  He'll bust some big ones this year.

3. O-line- Outside of Alesana the group played well.  It was a long time in the game before Auburn got a sack.  Stringer was really solid every time I saw him matched up with Groves he stoned him.  Guards and center played well too.  Alesana was in  his first game and played well for stretches he'll improve with experience.  Too many penalties but most all were on one guy.

4. D-line- We were playing against a young OL but it was a big strong o-line and our boys held up well.  Cline and Balkcom both made some plays and held their own in the middle.   Jackson, Manu, Abana they all were battling in there and did well.  Obviously the run defense was good tonight against a power running team and the pass rush was hitting home as well.

5.  LB's- This group was all over the field Walker and Roland both were good.  Ian Campbell caused them some problems and Antwon Moore was all over the field.  As far as I'm cocerned I don't need to see any more of Marcus Perry but the rest of the guys played well.

6.  DB's- They were in man coverage most of the night and held up well.  They hardly completed a pass on Cheatam all night.  Marcus Watts was Marcus Watts and Chandler made some plays too.  Hopefully they get things cleared up with Josh Moore and we get him back.  People like to rip Mckinney but he played well his second face make penalty was BS and he made some nice plays he's a very good tackler.  Saved a TD on the tackle he made on the screen play in the first half.

7. Rossman and Adams the long snapper.  Both of them played well tonight in a tough place.  After his first couple of kickoffs Rossman was getting them near the goal line and he made all his kicks including a 40 yarder.  Everyone of Adams snaps was on the money.

How many points did Freeman put up tonight?  He lost the pillow fight between the two offenses.  Ok, OK, he tied the pillow fight and their defense decided the game.
