Man it was his first D-1 game and he was going against a first round draft pick maybe the best pass rusher in the nation.  He couldn't hear the snap count and Groves knew we were going to throw it every down and the coaches left him on an island.  There are a lot of reasons why we lost and his multiple offsides were a big factor but that last drive didn't cost us the game it only made the score look worse then what it was.  We lost when we let Auburn get the lead and it was our mistakes that led to them finally taking the lead.  We gave them so many second chances they finally cashed in.  7 defensive penalties that resulted in first downs.  Alesana will be fine fine that was the biggest crowd he'll ever play in front of and that will probably be the best pass rusher he'll face at KSU.  He'll get better with experience and the competition will get worse.

for every poor play alesana made tonight he also made a pretty good one.  remember the beginning of the game when they were pimping him and we all felt great?  hes going to be solid, hell he's pretty close already.

Why didn't we run a screen to Groves side and use his speed rush against him??

b/c we have young inexperienced coaches.  i give prince a LOT of credit tonight.  but he also made a couple of "mack brown" type of poor decisions like the quote from above.

that was for you rusty.
