    Hey, basketball!!!
"Competive."

Seriously, that's all I want. If not in position to win it, than sure as hell be competive and challenging Auburn no matter what.

Bottomline: We cant be blown out on primetime ESPN TV with the whole nation watching.

    Fear the Brick
I'm thinking the MSU vs. LSU game might look similar to the Auburn game, only less points scored by Auburn.

QFT

It's the primetime game on ESPN for the first weekend of the season and featuring Big 12 vs. SEC.  It's time to play some ball.

I see you've ignored the prediction thread....   :peek:
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

LOL...I have been taking my time.  There will be a prediction coming before Saturday.  :ohno:

Just waiting for "injuries", "Moran left the team, Meyer leaves team, Hogan, Woods" to clear up before making some picks.

Oh BTW, the season is now saved.  #72 on the roster...depth be damned no more.

I don't expect a Texas like performance but anything between ku/Rutgers and Texas would be acceptable. That would mean a marginal loss, nothing to be too depressed about.

    I survived the Dickey/Parrish era.
I can understand reserved optimism about the upcoming game, but I just don't get how anyone can define "an acceptable loss."  I doubt if Coach Prince has the team huddle up before kick-off to remind them to "keep it close."  I get the whole "it's national exposure, let's not step on our dicks" pressure of this ball game but that can't outweigh the drive for a win.

Let's say we do win (which I would consider an upset -- UA 27 KSU 13), does that mean that we get to save our "acceptable loss" for later in the season?  The last thing I want to do is see KSU fans trying to redefine success by changing Wins/Losses to Wins/Close Defeats/Losses.

Commandment 1 -- Thou shalt not rationalize failure lest thee will become known as a ku basketball fan.

And I don't understand why people can't just enjoy the damn game, win or lose.

Win or lose, it's valuable experience for our players.

Would we have beaten Texas had we have not played Louisville earlier in the season?

We played 3 teams, that had a legitimate chance at a national championship. Louisville, Rutgers, and Texas.

Wow . . . 3 years of Croom and MissState comes out with that??  Deep drop passes from an inaccurate qb, slow developing running plays, no crossing routes, no short passing game . . . that was bad.
