quotes from Nubb on KSU-Auburn

Callahan..

"Auburn is a talented team from a speed perspective.  Their defense is exceptionally fast. They could have been in the mix to win it all last year."

"They're similar to Oklahoma and Texas in terms of team speed.  But Kansas State is a team that has demonstrated the ability to contain Texas' speed, so who knows."

"There is no good time to play Auburn. I don't have a clue when it comes to when is the right, and the not right, time to catch a team. I don't know of a coach who knows that."

Bo Ruud...

"Very fast ... a very fast defense.  Their offense was nothing special. I don't think Kansas State will have a problem with their offense, but their speed on defense is really impressive."

I already submitted these quotes on another thread yesterday.  Thought you all would find them encouraging.

Remember, 14 of Auburn's 17 points came on drives of 10 and 15 yards -- both off turnovers.  They were among the worst offensive teams NU played all year last year -- but unquestionably a great defense.

The disparity in the match up between Auburn's defense and our offense is entirely larger than the disparity in the match up between our defense and their offense.  If that makes any sense.

We're doomed.

I hope Josh barely throws anything, and I hope that when he does it's a safe pass to Jordy.  The rest of the game should be ALL JJ and LP.  They're the consistent talent on this team.  Freeman has the potential no doubt, but can you imagine what the final score will be if Freeman has another ku or Rutgers type game?  Ouch.

Gameday is doing some piece on Marlon Lucky Saturday.  I hope to Christ it is a, "I used to be so depressed (4 months ago) but now all I think about is Corn football!  I barely think about killing myself at all!"  type of thing.
