Has anyone had her for a prof in Mass Communications? I took her summer online class to fill in extra credits and she gave me a B when I definitely got an A. She gave me her grades she had for me, half of which were missing. I forwarded her emails that I had sent to her containing said assignments. She replied with no apology and basically a big "&@#% you." I told her this is pretty much ridiculous, and now I get this email :

You are advised to cease communication with me directly and take your
concerns directly to EDIT, [email protected].

This entire time I have been copying the edited out individual and have gotten no reply from this person. While I want to tell her where she can take her concerns, I'm left wondering what kind of crap professors get away with.

Sometimes telephone calls can be very effective.   Call her then call EDIT.

I tried today, but didn't have time. I'm definitely not talking to her again. Maybe after I graduate I'll cuss her out.

Pretty much anything they like if they're tenured.  I got screwed over by one in law school (in one of the two non-anonymously graded courses); he wasn't tenured, I bitched, he wasn't retained the next year but my grade didn't change.

strange.

My speech teacher asked us all to write what we thought we really deserved for a grade (NOT WHAT WE WANTED!!!) and then I'm pretty sure he just entered that as our grade because he was so pumped that he got accepted to law school.

If you're male just cut your losses and walk away.  You should've known better than to stay in that class after catching sight of her.  Duh.

If you cc:'d EDIT, then proper netiquette says that you probably shouldn't get a response.  The cc: basically means "FYI, no need to respond".  If you had EDIT on the senders list, then a response is warranted, but not guaranteed.

Dirty- I didn't copy him. It was addressed to both. I got a reply from EDIT and I am planning to meet with him soon.
