Kansas State @ Auburn (Auburn - 13 1/2): The question I have in this one is
can Auburn score 14 points to cover? Tommy and company are a grind it out defensive ballclub. Even with Brandon Cox at the helm for the Tigers,
this is one of the worst offenses in the SEC. There is no doubt that the Tigers hold their hat on their defensive prowess. However,
K-State beat Texas last year, and
have one of the most talented QB's in the country in Josh Freeman. He single-handedly beat Texas last year, and brings an
up-and-coming Big 12 squad into Auburn as well.
Much like Okie State, Kansas State has the horses to actually beat these guys at home. However, I would expect the Tigers to get enough pressure on Freeman, and disrupt the passing lanes (which is what they are REALLY good at), to make this a tough game for the Wildcats. Look for Auburn to score on defense in some form or fashion to cover this one, as Josh Freeman will struggle mightiliy against a VERY good Auburn defense.
