So how good is Auburn? Kansas State coach Ron Prince thinks the Tigers’ ranking doesn’t do them justice.

“If we were playing them in week three, four or five, they’d likely be undefeated and a top-10 team,” Prince said. “They play great defense. Stifling defense.”

So how good is K-State? Auburn quarterback Brandon Cox isn’t sure. But he knows what to expect from one Wildcat.

“We can’t really watch much film on them from last year because they changed defenses (to the 3-4),” Cox said by phone, “but number 98 (outside linebacker Ian Campbell) looks like the strength of their defense. He’s talented.”

Junior Brooks Rossman won the place-kicking battle at K-State. What gave Rossman the edge? “He had the leg. He also had the versatility,” said Prince, who’ll let Rossman handle kickoffs.

Alesana Alesana had better stay healthy. He is the only one listed on the two-deep at left tackle. What’s up with that? “We’ll have a little bit of a rotation among tackles and have some versatility. That’s a good thing,” said Prince, who announced Alesana, starting right tackle Nick Stringer and Ben Liu as the three who will see action at the tackle spots. Prince did mention freshman Clyde Aufner from Raymore-Peculiar as adding depth to the position.

Tight end Rashaad Norwood from Schlagle, suspended after being arrested on multiple counts last week that included domestic battery, still is with the team, Prince said. He made it clear Norwood’s punishment does not end with being suspended from games.

“Going home and playing video games doesn’t sound like a suspension to me,” Prince said.

“Sometimes we try to do the things we can do to gain their attention, maybe reinforce why good behavior is good and bad behavior is not good.”

LOL @ Prince's "going home and playing video games" comment

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Allen Evridege gave his heart to this team, he was a die hard cat, from nebraska. That takes guts he is probably the hardest worker we've seen come through this program.

I knew Frank pretty well. That beamer rarely left the street in Lundin apartments. If it was worth $5000, that was the value in spare parts.

Allan Evridge losers. Guarenteed to spell his name right at least 40% of the time.

So, has he (Allan Evridge) now given his heart to WI?  Or is he crying again because he doesn't get to be the starter.
