thanks guys! just to repay the favor....
since i graduated in '05, i'm pretty unfamiliar with the remainder of the guys on the team. our senior class is sketchy, but the underclassmen are phenoms (i heard both juniors and sophomores lost only 1 game last year, and frosh were undefeated).
word on the street says the defense will once again carry the majority of the load. losing trey brown (missouri) and ryan heil (emporia state) will probably hurt most. however, kc star reporter blair kerkoff's son, nate, has been moved from quarterback where he backed up metro player of the year zach rampy, to wr/db, so that should help the secondary a little.
on offense, there was a serious qb battle going on much of the summer and while most assumed that junior tanner purdon won the job, the latest has sophomore anthony abenoja with a leg up. running back is basically open to whoever steps up. the lone big name returner will be TE chris mcdermott, who's been starting at the position since his sophomore year. and good luck getting through our line, anchored by 2 300 lb. juniors! ya, scary thought. my dad also said the kicker was quite impressive in the fall sports scrimmage as well.
