Wednesday, August 22nd KSU Practice Report.

The practice was a spirited one, to say the least.

QUARTERBACKS:
The quarterbacks were throwing 15 yard throws into a trash can. Josh Freeman had 34 chances to make one in... he did not. Carson Coffman injured his left ankle when his cleat got stuck in the field turf. Tysyn Hartman did not practice, but was spotted with a cast on his left wrist -- he's gotten most of the team to sign it.

RUNNINGBACKS:
Both James Johnson and Leon Patton must be in Coach Prince's doghouse. Both were spotted running the stairs with all the assistant coached.

OFFENSIVE LINE:
After the departure of Derek Meyer, the O-Line spent the majority of practice huddled together talking about their feelings and how the third string O-Lineman's leaving effected them.

RECEIVERS:
The receivers practiced catching fades into the end zone.  Jordy Nelson injured himself when he looked back into the sun and burned his retinas. It's unknown if Nelson will play against Auburn, or if he'll be blind for the rest of his life. Lamark Brown caught one pass (in his facemask), and Ernie Pierce left practice early with what has been reported as explosive diarrhea.

TIGHT ENDS:
The TE's all spotted in the stands hiding under the bleachers.

D-LINE:
The D-Line did their usual hand-slapping drill. Rob Jackson was yet another Wildcat who was injured Wednesday. Jackson got his left pinkie finger cut off in a freak accident which involved Mike Abana's facemask. Abana also stopped practicing after the incident -- the finger could not be dislodged from his facemask.

LINEBACKERS:
The linebackers were no where to be found. Coach Prince later confirmed that the linebackers were in a "team building" drill in Ft. Riley.

SECONDARY:
The secondary mainly practiced tackling. The tackle drill would be costly to the Wildcats. Marcus Watts re-injured his wrist; Josh Moore had the same problem as Ernie Pierce (explosive diarrhea); Andrew Erker and Byron Garvin got in a fight and each player was asked to leave (politely) by Coach Prince.

KICKERS:
All kickers made 55 yard field goals kicked (into the wind).

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I'm thinking explosive diarrhea can be our X-Factor this year. Kinda like T-New in '02.

Are our WR"s going to be dressed up like trash cans on gameday?

I think the trashcan drill for QB's is garbage. Gotdamn that is FUNNY.

True, but having the kickers thing at the very end after all the other positions was hilarious.
