Can I still get the broadcasts free on Yahoo Sports?
I'm out of state, so this is really going to suck if the free internet broadcasts go away.

If this takes away the free yahoo broadcasts like Fledermaus mentioned, it's a bad deal, IMO.

And I have Sirius.

SIRIUS Internet Radio (SIR) is a CD-quality, Internet-only version of the SIRIUS radio service, without the use of a radio, for the monthly subscription fee of $12.95. SIR delivers more than 80 channels of talk, entertainment, sports, and 100% commercial free music.

I'm guessing since this was part of the release that the internet rights are part of the deal.

Well, this was a sh*tty deal for fans, then.  The free postgame archives were an incredible asset.

Absolute sh*t.

Disagree. Sirius rocks. This was long overdue.

Do you think more people have access to Sirius or the internet?

Do you realize you won't get postgame shows for most road games?  (Not listening to Wyatt is a plus, IMO)

How is this better than the free yahoo deal?

Yeah, if your sitting in front of a computer, but what if your traveling?
I guess it really doesn't matter to me either way, cause I'll listen on KROCK anyways.
And, yes, Wyatt sucks, but we can blame the Good 'ole Boys Club for that.

Yeah, if your sitting in front of a computer, but what if your traveling?

That's a very small percentage of listeners, I'm sure.  Most people on vacation probably wouldn't listen to the game anyway, and most frequent business travelers would have internet access.  Heck, most of those people would have to drive to use Sirius.

I couldn't count the number of gamedays where I've been listening at my computer and wanted to go get some food, or run an errand, or whatever.  I would have to put it off until after the game, or try to rush it in over halftime, or just miss a big chunk of the game.  For me, this is great news.  For everyone else, I don't give a sh*t.  Thank you.

And now you have to sit in your car because it won't be free over yahoo. See the difference? Give a sh*t about that, waks.

It works well for me. Being up in Wisconsin I wanted a way to have access to every game without having to be glued to the computer. Now I just need to fork over the money for Sirius...

or you could buy the sirius player thing, kinda like you can buy for the ipod.  They work pretty well AND you don't have to have your car on to listen!  :chirp:

Really, I think this deal is best for people with tiny-penis syndrome that think we need it because it sounds kind of cool and everyone else has it.  Well, those people and Sirius, who will get a few new subscribers.

How much new money do we get?

All you guys are just funny and ignorant. The only thing that changes is the KSU picked up a new affiliate, Sirius Satellite Radio. It will not effect what has worked in the past as in Internet access through yahoo for the games. The only rights given away were Satellite radio rights.

My radio isn't built into my car.  I take it from home to car to work and back.  It's about the size of a deck of cards.

So, in summary:  Me = :D  You = :flush:

SV1 is the unit I use.  Cheap, no frills, but small and durable.  I thought about the Stiletto, but I am not buying any new hardware until the merger question is resolved.  If at some point both services are available on either company's hardware, there are probably some XM units that I'd want to look into.

I hope the merger goes through.  XM's music is much better.  Sirius has Stern and better sports.

I have the SV1, too.
