Regarding K-State football, before today there have been two times that I've had a gut feeling that something big was going to happen.  Those two times were before the Big XII Championship Game in 2003, and last year before the Texas game.  Obviously both those gut feelings were substantiated.  Today while watching the K-State football preview on FSN I got another one of those feelings.  Call me a powertard or a moran;) but I think we're in for a helluva good ride this year.  What do you all think?

There's a bit of a difference I think.  But I don't think I need to spell it out for you.

So much depends on your offensive line, I think. Good to see you guys getting pumped up though. I can't wait for the first game.

Atleast there's some halfway decent depth on the o-line this year.  And yes, I've been counting the days to kickoff since the '07 signing day.

Until you prove that you have mastered the English language beyond a 5th grade level, Cranky, I refuse to acknowledge your existance on this forum.

The defense rests, your honor. KShat fans: angry at others because they can't spell.

Not angry at all.  Slightly amused at the mental picture I have of you:  A 5'3" burnt orange ping pong ball with legs.

FWIW I could drop the spelling issue and focus on the shortcomings of your preferred college team.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

poor receivers, mediocre o-line at best, not enough beasts on defense.

"in for a ride" = north champs in my mind

I think that "feeling" is just hope.  Hope that our offensive line (which has underperformed for 3 years now) will be good.  Hope that our defense (which has sucked for 3 years now) will be good.  Hope that our soph QB (who was good/great in 4 starts and terrible/sucked in 3 starts) will be good.  Hope that our receivers (we return one reciever who is worth a damn) will be good.  It's just a lot of hope.

I've got that feeling that we'll be mediocre. A few key injuries, and we will be totally fracked. A few guys playing above their heads and/or getting the system down faster than expected, and we could be a game or two above .500.  :blank:

    I survived the Dickey/Parrish era.
I can't fight this feeling any longer.
And yet I'm still afraid to let it flow.
What started out as friendship,
has grown stronger.
I only wish I had the strength to let it show.

I tell myself that I can't hold out forever.
I said there is no reason for my fear.
Cause I feel so secure when we're together.
You give my life direction,
You make everything so clear.

And even as I wander
I'm keeping you in sight.
You're a candle in the window,
On a cold, dark winter's night.
And I'm getting closer than I ever thought I might.

And I can't fight this feeling anymore.
I've forgotten what I started fighting for.
It's time to bring this ship into the shore,
And throw away the oars, forever.

Could just be gas. That or an irritated gall bladder. Maybe it could be a premonition or gridiron greatness (PGG).  I hope its PGG.  PGG is infectious around people drinking heavily. :dancin:

    This ZERO is my Hero
I agree that if our O-line steps up and preforms at a high level, I think we could be a top 25 team easy.  I really feel like the defense should be pretty solid.

Is it just a feeling...or could it be MORE?

I woke up this morning and the sun was gone,
Turned on some music to start my day.
I lost myself in a familiar song,
I closed my eyes and I slipped away.

It's more than a feeling (more than a feeling)
When I hear that old song they used to play (more than a feeling).
I begin dreaming (more than a feeling)
Till I see Marianne walk away.
I see my Marianne walking away.

So many people have come and gone,
Their faces fade as the years go by;
Yet I still recall as I wander on,
As clear as the sun in the summer sky.

Chorus

[Guitar Solo]

When I'm tired and thinking cold
I hide in my music, forget the day,
And dream of a girl I used to know.
I closed my eyes and she slipped away.

She slipped away.

You guys should be pretty good next year. You have a TON of talent. If Prince can't get 10 wins with all that talent and a favorable schedule then he probably should start selling shoes or something because a good football coach he ain't.
