Just drove by the stadium and saw a lift cart positioned up above the jumbo tron could they possibly be installing the new sound system?  I also saw boxes lined up the isle where the chairbacks are so i assume they are the new seats and are ready to be installed.  I am thinking about heading up there in the next hour or so for a jog, you know about the time practice starts so does any one want me to check anything out?

They are putting the new sound system on the South Videoboard (FYI Jumbotron is a Brandname, we no longer have a Sony Jumbotron) structure.

It's hot here too....like 97 with a heat index of around 110....just blows...damn the Midwest.

That's your heat index?  You guys need to visit ole Southeast Kansas and try out our humidity.  I think we might just have you beat.  Regardless the midwest does suck this time of year.

Kleenex is a brand name too, but that doesn't stop anyone. It's the freakin' jumbotron.

And is the new jumbotron the only thing getting a sound upgrade? The old crappy speakers on Vanier are staying? Because the static hiss from those will drown out any new speakers for sure, unless we trash them finally.

What's the scoop?

Yeah it does. Just miserable. Makes you understand why it's so much harder to recruit here than on the coasts...crapty summer and cold winters.

I asked my dad once why our ancestors were too freaking lazy to finish the trek to the west and felt it necessary to settle in this God-forsaken wilderness in the Midwest....I think there were three foot snowdrifts that day.

That looks like it'll be cool. It might be similar to the one we have in Memorial Stadium called "Huskervision." If it is, you'll really enjoy it. It adds a lot to the game.

the new seats.  Sorry its so far away but as you can tell thats alot of purple so it looks like this time its going to be purple backgroung with a white ksu possibly.
