    shame on you, non-believers
People on the Auburn board are saying May said something about KSU "following" or "challenging" OU and UT. Not that it means jack crap, but I'm so hungry for football, I want to know exactly what he said, out of curiosity.

Anyone catch it?

Well yesterday on college football live (great idea) someone from Lincoln, NE (haha) sent an email asking if kstate had a chance to get to the big 12 championship. and Mark May said, "Absolutely, with Josh Freeman at QB and Ron Prince as the coach, it is deffinately possible." Is that what you are referring to?

As he should, and as should all 5 and 4 star football recruits. :curse:

If they truley want to see black coaches make it, they must help them (and us being the beneficiaries) out.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

No. Thanks though. Apparently he said something about us and UT/OU specifically, at least according to some AU fan.

The fact that I can only name three black head coaches in college football is a disgrace.

I wouldn't count on the average AU fan being able to remember what May said for more than 7 seconds.

And you know he didn't write it down.

I can name 6 off the top of my head. And there apears to be more hired every year. And these aren't small programs by any means (except Buff).

Wash - Willingham
KSU - Prince
Miami - Shannon
Miss St. - Croom
UCLA - Dorrell
Buffalo - Gill

Would it help if I said that those programs listed are improving since be taken over ( except Miami, we'll have to see about that).

True, but atleast it is improving. Also, wasn't Blake a coach at OU at some point a few years back?

True. Although I thought Williingham fielded a pretty decent team compared to where that program was at. Gave SC a bit of a scare last year.
Croom, no comment. Never payed attention to them last year.
And Dorrell, seams to be improving yearly. Beat the all mighty SC.

Dorrell's overall record isn't much, and when one of your assistant coaches gets arrested for burglary, you tend to be on a hot seat.

Getting punked by Wyoming and Fresno in bowl games (in addition to blown out by Fl.St.) also doesn't make the alums happy.

6 out of 120 coaches isn't "getting better".

Get into the 20's, 30's, and 40's, and you would be right.  That takes time.  It really isn't getting any better at all, right now.

True, Last I heard there were 10 or 11 D1 black head football coaches. But you're right, it is low. I'm sure after this year, there will be a few more spots open. :)

I saw this yesterday.  The guy from Lincoln with the question was named Sam, no kidding.  Is Keller really that worried about us?  There was no mention of OU or Texas when talking about KSU so I don't know where that came from.
Show me defense.

Black head coaches?  Please.  Black people know nothing about football.
