    The very best.
This thing is huge.

ku football has been .500 or better in conference play 3 times since 1982 (25 seasons)

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Starting my fall PHOG.NET collection early.

I'm ignoring you now, but before you go, enjoy the ass raping Auburn is about to lay on you. If you would like to discuss things further, I'll be in Manhattan on October 6th.  Just look for the ku fan laughing his ass off when Freeman throws 3 picks and gets sacked 5 or 6 times. ----hillwalking August 13th, 2007

Re: Reesing / Whittemore comparison video
I hope you are right and I am wrong.

Anyway, Book, name a K-State QB not named Bishop better than Bill Whittemore.  Because "El Roberson" ain't the right answer.

Maybe my sarcasm meter is broken... but this guy sounds serious.

I suggested Jonathan Beasley and Chad May.

We'll see if that draws a much needed tapout on his part but I doubt it.

We're talking about Bill Whittemore here....

I went recent...but Dickey would probably be my #1 as far as all-time QB's...but since we're just talking about Whitt I didn't have to reach for the top shelf.

Pretty much any starter we've had since Carl Straw with the exceptions of Smargiasso and Dylan Meier.  Kavanaugh may be about equal, but they we're different styles and his supporting cast was 100X better.

Straw
Watson
Smargiasso
May
Miller
Kavanaugh
Bishop
Beasley
Roberson
Meier
Freeman

I'd take Whit over the following guys who have started for KSU in the past decade:

Marc Dunn
Allan Evridge
Allen Webb
Dylan Meier
Adam Helm

Of course Meier is the only one that was a starter for a significant stretch.  Whit was certainly a better QB than Ell in 2001, but I'd take Ell in '02 and '03, no doubt.

ku's last conference football championship was shared with Oklahoma in 1968...

btw..they lost to OU earlier that season on their home turf to the team they shared the "title" with.

Their last OUTRIGHT football title?............1930...when they went 6-2.  :fiesta: :loly: :ku:

Terry Allen's first five years with ku resulted in more victories than Mangino has earned over the same period.

However, the big guy makes over twice as much money as Allen ever earned.

Mangino has won four road conference games in five years.

Mangino has never won more than four conference games in a single season.

If it weren't for Baylor, ku would hold the worst conference record in Big XII play even tallying Mangino's "turnaround".

I also can't believe that Terry Allen had more victories than Mangino over the same amount of time.  I'm going to need my LOL double bagged please.

Allen played twice as many games against ranked teams than Mangino did in 5 years.   Mangino . . . 1 more win in conference play than  Allen.

KSU . . . ku's Super Bowl.

2 out of the last 3 vs. K-State.

39-20.

Less than two weeks from the start of the season and you're still bringing this up?  Nope KSU isn't ku's Superbowl, not a chance!
