First off, Viers and stringer werevery impressive. i didn't know which lineman was which but when i checked it, it was them. My dad pointed them out. Viers will start at center and bedore will move. Lamark Brown needs to work on his footwork. Rolo is going to be good. Woods look impressive. Nelson looked solid. Murphy is every bit of that 4.3 speed. Childs and Houlik fly to the  ball. i was impressed with Houlik. i didn't know who the nose was, but now i know it was Xavier. Oh man this kid is something. he will be a huge factor. Campbell did his thing, and Moore was kind of lazy. Overall solid practice. Can someone confirm taht Freeman threw that bomb into the trashcan? Someone said Coffman but i thought it was Freeman.  Patton is sick. Moran wasnt there. Abana is very athletic and Rob jackson is going to be really solid. overall good practice. It might have looked better if it wasnt so frickin hot out. Alesena had to run for a false start and he was ringing wet. :ksu: :ksu:

Nope, it was Coffman. Freeman got close a few times, and never missed by a lot.

Alesana and Cedric Wilson both had to run for false starts - 140 yards total (30 to "far" goal line and back).

If Viers is your starting C, the only thing that will beat Freeman to the hospital, are the headlights of the ambulance he's riding in. A 270 lb C in this league may as well be re-named a RB since he'll spend just as much time in the backfield.

You think a 270 lb center is a good thing? Maybe in 1980.

per someone Viers is more like 280 now.

Denver Broncose = about 290 per man

Minnesota Golden Gopher lead the nation in rushing Glenn Mason style = 3 interior OL in 280's

Sorry if we can't have man boobs starting everywhere.

It's a pretty simple concept...quickness and toughness beats 330lb lard butt any day of the week.

But come back and show us some more photos of fat Slauson...we're dying to see them.

Suh vs Viers-I know who my money is on.

So Suh outweighs him by 20-25lbs...yawn.  Not the first time a center outweighed a nose guard.  Kalil played at 275 for USC as a Soph on their national title team.  he was prolly too small.

Again...quickness, toughness, and technique trumps bulk every day.

Having said that Suh is a guy who looks the part AND plays the part unlike many other Nubbs.

no it doesn't.  do all gay people talk in useless metaphors or just you?  Speed isn't going to help a center block a nose tackle.  Speed is great if your a d-lineman and you need to get around a bigger, more powerful o-lineman but it doesn't work like that the other way around.  the center is not trying to get away from the nose, the center is trying to get in the way of the nose and slow him down.  to do that you don't need speed, you need power.  And Suh weighs about 310, that isn't 25 pounds heavier, it's 35 and as you can tell, it's a really good 35 pounds.

and by the way, kalil played at 285 and was 6'3 which is a pretty good height to weight ratio.  your boy viers is 6'5 according to your website and 270.  very big differance.  Also, very little experience on the o-line, started off at d-end.  Why your trying to compare him to a shorter, heavier better center is beyond me.  anything else to add hatter or did you get tore up enough?

and here are his 06 stats, or should I say stat?

"Came off the bench to record a solo tackle as a defensive end vs. Florida Atlantic in his only action of the season."

holy f*cking sh*t.  we better change our defensive line schemes so that we can double team this bad mofo.  I mean jesus christ.  coming off a season in which he had 1 tackle, and then moving to a new position on the other side of the ball, tall and skinny, this kid has road grader written all over him.  I bet he chews glass and spits out teeth for fun.  Somebody better call the folks who do the rmington watch list, this guy will turn heads.  After this, I am writing to Suh to let him know what horror awaits him and then cc'ing the email to Cosgrove, he needs to do something to save Suh.

this just in...quickness, toughness, and technique no longer important in football.  Just get a big dude who looks good in a phto.

LOL at saying Kalil was 285 as a soph...I remember specifically reading about his being 275 when I was trying to figure out who would win the 2005 Orange Bowl.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Saying someone got owned while it was pretty much a  :kugayfight: is kinda homoerotic. How much does Tom Nalen weigh?

Kalil actually 270 on 2004 Trojans.

See page 19 for depth chart.  Once again a husker is denied by facts.

http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/usc/sports/m-footbl/auto_pdf/oklarel04.pdf

As for Viers..love his quickness, toughness, and athleticism.  As for strength and power...he was bench pressing 360 in high school per weightlifting meet rules (no bouncing) and he was cleaning a lot of weight too.

Hatter if your roster is so "accurate" as you proclaim on Phog-then Viers is 270. Because unlike ku, K State doesn't exaggerate on heights and weights, right?

285 according to usctrojans.com.  I know I know, not as accurate as your fan page from 2004 which wasn't even his last season but the height and weight listed from his actual last year of play from the teams official site is all i could manage.

lolololo, boy , ripping up this hatter fellows arguments is about the easiest thing to do on the net.

You are retarded.

I SPECIFICALLY stated Sophomore season.  I am not trying to compare Viers to Kalil as a finished product senior.  I AM comparing him to a first year starting sophomore and as a Sophomore I specifically stated he was 275 which your dipshlt ass tried to argue...and the fact is he was even lighter than that.  I PROVIDED A LINK TO THE FACTS.

Only a retarded person comes back w/ his senior profile link....and?  Ummm...what in the hell is that for?  Ummm...good for you..I guess?
