$hitty Coach Frank Solich against Top 25 teams after 3 years: 8-7, including 3-4 against Top 10 teams.

Restore the Order Coach Bill Slashahan against Top 25 teams after 3 years:  4-6 (note 5 fewer games against Top 25 teams than Solich played in first 3 years), 0-5 against Top 10 teams.

Oh, I still laugh knowing that Solich's final season record at NU has yet to be matched by Restoring the Order at 5 losses at a time Bill Slashahan.

NU last 7 games . . . 3-4, an A&M Brainfart away from being 2-5.

Once upon a time, Cornhole State land wanted to fire Tom Osborne for losing 7 games in 5 seasons.   Now a 5 loss season is "restoring the order".

I just over heard a couple of NU fans in my office. The one doing most of the talking is a big NU guy, he said the real reason Solich left was because he knocked up a "co-ed" but was on his way out since he couldn't recruit for crap. And ol' slashy better get his act together or the corn nation will shuck him out, the Nebraskans are getting restless...

With Pederson's recent contract extension, that ensures Callahan won't be going anywhere for a long time. Especially with the group of recruits he is bringing in this year.

GimmeCornhole . . . I don't know what F'ing planet you lived on back in the 1980's or if you were even alive . . . but there were several periods in Tom Osborne's career where Cornhole Country was not happy with him, one was that 0-5 (or so) start against OU, 5 straight seasons with 3 losses, and the 85-92 stretch were NU lost at least 2 games a year every year topped off with 7 straight bowl losses from 88-94.   Then Tommy turned up the steriod tap and cultivated the thugs.

Next up, you'll try and tell me Tom Osborne didn't drive over to Omaha and browbeat the sport editor into not publishing a large story on the thugs he had in his program, and that Nancy Osborne didn't run around campus one day tossing the school newspaper into trash cans because she was mad about a cartoon they had about Lawrence Phillips.

Yeah, and K-State's 7-6 season last year was just a glimpse of great things to come.  LOL.

I'd say it was. Name first year head coaches in the Big XII that have reached a bowl game in their first season.

Now in fairness to Gay-State fans, bringing in 20-30 two star recruits each year will get things turned around quickly....oh wait, no it won't.

If KSU sucks as bad as the NU fans seem to say and the program just had a lot of luck to dominante NU (49-13, 38-9, 45-21) quite recently then why so much obsession with K-State Football from the NU fans? I was in Omaha last month and was amazed that only 3 topics were discussed on the radio:
1) NU Football
TIE 2) KSU Football and Creighton Basketball

It would appear that KSU is without a doubt the number one rival of NU and that is not changing anytime soon.

Can you name the only Big XII coaching legend not to reach a bowl game in his last two seasons?

No hint here you need to do it on your own.
