I just got a Wii

I got a Wii two months ago. It's mostly great when your having friends over & can actually compete in your living room.

I suggest going to Wii shop on the console and buying the internet tool. You can be on the internet on any TV that your Wii is hooked up on, that is if you have wireless connection. Easy to use and it's like have a 65" computer screen.

get wii play. It's like wii sports but w/ air hockey and different stuff. It's 50 bucks but it comes w/ a controller so it's really only 10$

That's cool. Have you bought any of the classic games from the Wii shop? I was thinking about buying Tyson's Punch Out. Do you know if I can use my Wii remote or do I have to buy a classic controller?

And it's only five bucks total, not a month, very good deal. And as for the classic games I haven't bought any yet. But I know you can just use your Wii controller, turn it sideways. But you can buy the controllers to the console your playing the old games to make it easier I guess.

My friend has a Wii and good games for it are far and few between. Wii Play/Sports are the only ones that hold up to good games on other consoles. I haven't played it, but Red Steel looks cool (heard bad things about it).

I'm going to disagree with 'games are far and few between' when honestly, a console only requires a few 'hit' games to make you spend all of your time using it, e.g. ncaa football series, gta series, etc.

With nintendo, you are assured to get top notch nintendo brand games-

Zelda!!!!!!!!
Wii play
Tiger Woods golf
SSX blur (snow boarding)
Super paper mario
warioware (haven't played)
excite truck (haven't played)
mario strikers charged!!!!

These are all pretty much "must haves" for the console. 

mario party 8 is pretty slick, but it's like playing monopoly with minigames.

Don't forget about a new Metroid coming out soon as well.

personally I could live without wiiplay--it's kinda lame, but it's great for parties and company, especially your 'slow' crowd, like parents and what not...they could really get into playing air hockey or table tennis.  The only mildly humorous game on wiiplay is the cow racing.  The rip off of "tank wars" from atari is probably the best game on there and the only one that requires a nunchuck.

Thanks for the update dude. I bought Wii Play this weekend. It's kinda lame but at least you get a controller out of the deal. Right now I'm more interested in games that are good for groups of people so I'll probably be adding MarioParty and Warioware.
