RB - KSU.  Patton and Johnson over the inexperienced group ku has returning.

WR - Even but only because ku has more experienced players.  KSU has a clear edge in talent.

TE - Pretty even.

OT - ku by a landslide due to Collins.  Rodriguez also far more experienced than any KSU tackle.
Interior OL - close but KSU by a slight edge due to Bedore.  ku has next to no experience on the interior

OL.  And don't try to say that the kid from Butler gives you an edge when KSU can plug in Alesana or Liu.

It's a shame that Courtney Herndon got hurt mid-season, he was starting to come along at that FS spot. Maybe if CH played the rest of the season and got some more experience we'd look better than ku at that safety spot. Especially when you add in potential talent with Chandler.

I was upset that Hollis didn't see much time at safety last season, and Erker did.....

KH definately has the athleticism to get it done at safety, I guess we'll just have to wait & see....

RB-KSU (I love Patton, ku doesn't have the experience outside of McAnderson)
WR-ku (More experience, though Nelson may be the overall best)

TE-ku (close, but I believe Fine is better if we use him like we should)

DT-ku (Ain't close, McClinton is awesome)
LB-Draw (Interesting to see how Campbell does, Rivera's got talent but needs to be more disciplined)

I'm disappointed in me too.  I love Watts and he's far better than anything they have right now but I do like some of their young players and I'm not sure if I like any of our safeties behind Watts just yet.  I could like Herndon...we'll see about Tigner and Chandler.  I'm being hard on our guys.

It depends on Stringer's health.  Stringer is a good player.  You're assuming too much due to some issues last year.  One thing I would point out to you is that...

KSU opponents registered 28 sacks against KSU's 415 pass attempts
ku opponents registered 26 sacks against ku's 363 pass attempts

Now it doesn't take a math major to compute that ku's QB got sacked every 13.9 attempts while KSU's QB got sacked every 14.8 attempts.  Hmmm..those numbers don't jive, do they?

Okay..I'm not saying our tackles are great or anything but Stringer is a good player if he's healthy.  We need to find another one.  You are too fixated on maybe the ku game and Rutgers games...against ku Freeman was going to get pummeled because we didn't have any receivers..duh.  Rutgers is just far superior than what we were or anything ku faced last season.

Talib is easily the best corner on either team, but the next best on ku's roster gets abused often.  Moore+Baldwin is at worst even if not better than Talib+Anyotherkucorner.

I'm not sold on either Hollis or Herndon.  They haven't made much of an impact especially considering they've had opportunities to do so.

Bowman had nothing to do with the corners.  He was in the slot and abused the LB's and Kemp.  Just bad coaching honestly.  Our new Juco corner (Harper) will start opposite Talib, early returns about him have been good.  Webb, who started some as a Freshman, will be behind him

I think some are underating our secondary.  ku is going to start two JC kids that  have not played a down and we've got about 7 or 8 guys with starting experience back including Marcus Watts who is on most people's preseason first team all big 12 list and Josh Moore who is a budding star in his own right.  Gary Chandler was rated much higher out of JC then either of the kids ku is starting back there but he's going to have to fight for a job at KSU as oppossed to having it handed to him by default the second he steps foot on campus like the two kids at ku.

IF a jc kid can walk in and take over a starting spot that easily then obviously you don't have much coming back.  It's the same thing with us at left tackle Alesana walked in and took the job right away but that had as much or more to do with what we had or didn't have returning as it did to do with is skill level.

Agreed, Legore.  Although Alesana comes in with some good pub and, with Stringer at the other OT slot, we have the potential to be decent....which would be a marked improvement. 

Otherwise, I think good breakdown, Hatter.  I'd like to think our 3 TE's would be superior, at least in terms of depth but I'm not familiar with the ku TE situation.
