I don't mind Modest Mouse, but I heard they suck live- as in they're one of the bands that just lets the audience sing.

Man, I hate Modest Mouse.  One sound...how many songs?  About as creative and musically diverse as Nickelback.  Float On was great, for a month or two, but I started getting pissed off when every other song of theirs that I heard had the same chord progressions.

I have no problem w/ emotional music at all.  Not sure why you thought that.

And no, I do not have King Geedorah.

Would be funny if it weren't baseless. The last two albums, yes, lack a bit of range. Prior to that, no.

My reasoning for guessing your disdain for them would be vocal tracks similar to MM, not being "emotional".

I just think they write better songs.  I don't have a big problem with MM's vocals, just the annoying songs.

First of all, let me start by saying i hate all of you.

Leyton - if you haven't listened to a majority of a bands work i would not pass judgement on a singular sound. but if you have listened to everything i don't know how you couldn't see that modest mouse has been one of the most changing and unique sounding bands i have ever listened to. I completely agree about the last two albums. I havn't even listened to the new one, because i don't want to ruin any more of their music for me.

WorldWideBalla21- you should not be allowed to ever comment on any music ever.

ew2x4 - i don't know about now, but when i saw them in 2000 they put up one hell of a show. they were even comparable to their openers, !!!.

Rusty - it makes sense that you don't like modest mouse

Kilgore - I hope to god they play some of the old stuff for your sake.

I am a little bit biased when it comes to modest mouse. They, along with 764-Hero, Built to Spill, and The Appleseed Cast were what started me on my downward spiral into good music.

I think a 7 year body of crappy work is enough to say they now suck, IMO.

Just sayin'.
