when they beat us it is a major victory celebrated for as long as possible. (usually one year) When we beat them, no biggie, that is the way it should be.  End of story.

imo....
the difference is - KSU actually cares about their football program and has support from its alumni/fans...where as ku, well, we all know the answer to that one.

19 points and a couple thousand fans per game.  Give or take.

Unfortunately, most of those came before video was invented so it is difficult to see any of those wins or players.  I think the difference referred to things that might have occurred while most of us were alive.

Kstate:  Football is an opportunity for national recognition.

ku:  Football is an opportunity to wear tights and all match outfits.   :ku:

this is simple.

they're gay and will rush the field with a win over a 7-4 team. A very weak field rushing at that. Here is some advice ku fans, if you're going to rush the field, go all the way, not half-assed. (See Texas-Kstate game for reference). :ksu:

when kstate beats ku, we are happy and look to the next game, instead of celebrating it for months and months.

So you're at least 50 then, I'm going to assume. And you're on an internet message board devoted to a team you despise. LOL @ you not having a life. It must be fun reminiscing about the days that you got to watch Sayers play in Memorial while all of your high school (assuming you reached it that far) classmates went on to marry and have kids.

No, not 50.  30.  They do have video you know.  I don't despise KSU at all.  You're the fun little brother who everyone picks on.  But we still love you.  Mizzou, I despise.  Had too many good friends go to KSU to despise it.

Video doesn't count. Sayers could have never played at ku and it wouldn't affect you in the least bit.

What do you mean by affect?  I am extremely proud that Gale Sayers attended my University and he is still a great ambassador for my University.  It certainly does affect me.  I know it's disappointing KSU hasn't had a player the level of a Sayers, Chamberlain, Manning, or even Riggins; but history is important in relation to the esteem a University is held in.  I know football only started at KSU in the 90's, but the rest of nation likes to have a bigger perspective.

You weren't around to celebrate Sayers career while it was going on at ku. I couldn't care less as to what KSU did in the 1950's. My kids will look back at KSU's absolute dominance over the Big XII (Snyder Era and now Prince) and not care either because they would rather the team win while they can see it than fifty years before. Get the point?

Absolute dominance=1 Big 12 Championship?  And you don't care what KSU did in the 50's, 60's, 70's, or 80's because they did absolutely nothing.  Supporting a school means supporting it as a whole, it's history included.  It's a shame you choose not to do that with KSU.  I would certainly not call you a true KSU fan.  True fans care about the history and legacy of their school.  I know KSU fans like that.  Good people.  Supported KSU through thick and thin.  You seem only to care about when they do well.  Kind of pitiful. Get the point?

I supported our basketball program through the Asbury/Wooly years. I honestly just don't care about history. Sure, it's nice to talk about in the offseason, but is it near as fun as winning in the present time? Not even close. That's why all of you're 30 more head to head victories and hall of fame players bullcrap is dumb. You weren't around to witness it. All it is is something to brag about, which doesn't really appeal all that much to me. Get it?

To all ku Fans on this board:

Your football team is about ready to be run over by a superior team.  Here is the deal.  I love KSU sports and the history of KSU Football from Pappy to Vince to Snyder to Prince.  Your pathetic little attempt to make ku Football sound soooo great is an absolute falsehood.  You have no chance at winning a title in football in the next decade or longer.  You tried to cheat to become better but got caught, now it looks like you are under investigation from the Attorney General in NY.  No suprise there.  You have how many players in the NFL?  One?  None?  You have never won four games in the Big 12, you have played in how many Cotton Bowls, Fiesta Bowls, Alamo Bowls, Holiday Bowls?  How many times have you played in the Big 12 Championship?  How many times have you won/shared the North title?  How many All-Americans, All-Big 12 First Teamers, NCAA Coach of the Year, Big 12 Coach of the Year, Hiesman Candidates have you had.  How many times have you been on College Game Day?  How many times have you been ranked #1 in the Country in Football?  How many times have you beaten a great team?  How many times have you beaten the "best team ever" (OU '03)?  How many times have you had the pleasure of watching a truley talented, incredible, lynch mob esque Football Team?

That's enough.  Now go spread your wings and fly away!

Not bad for my first post since college Circa '91-'96 (season ticket holder since '87)
