What the &@#%?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

it's ok.  we're not supposed to be good so we shouldn't be getting these players. we're actually better off without them

Perhaps you're forgetting overachievers like Travis Reynolds, Ivan Sulic, Shawn Rhodes and Paco May.

It's good to be good again!
With Bush leaving early for the NFL the USC Athletic Dept must of been able to free up quite a bit of room under the salary cap to aford both Mayo and Walker. :D

Where's Tim Weiser?

Doesn't he have a players slush fund?

Exactly.  It's about the coach, not the rankings of the recruits. With Huggins, we should be able to take Asbury-like Junk Town recruits and turn them into All-Americans/national title contenders.

Everybody just needs to settle down.  Stars don't matter.  Heart does.

Gotta love how fickle the top rated recruits are.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Whats the story exactly?  Are Walker and Mayo commiting to USC or is USC the frontrunner now or what?  Sorry, I'm probably way behind the news

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Wouldn't that be ironic if Jim ended up coaching Mayo and Walker?

I love "sources".

What does Jeffrey Martin have to say about this?

Sounds like a bit of a headcase.  Hopefully if he does come here, he can keep his ego under control for the year he's here.

Mayo = Fred Peete with skillz?

Here's JMart's Q/A on the matter

"Q-It appears that Mayo and Walker are leaning towards USC now and aren't high on coming to small town Manhattan at all. I want to beat ku but I don't see us being near as competitive without these two. ku brings in unbelievable talent every year. The only reason Beasley is considering us is because we hired Hill. How do you think we'll match up against ku in the years to come under Huggins reign?
Anonymous, Manhattan, KS 4/30/06

A-Are you serious? Dude, have some perspective. If K-State gets Beasley - a virtual lock - and Herb Pope - which remains a possibility - the Wildcats could trot out a starting five in 2007 of Beasley, Pope, Jason Bennett, Blake Young and possibly David Hoskins, if K-State doesn't get any other kids this year (which seems unlikely). I think that team would be pretty competitive with ku.
Jeffrey Martin 4/30/06"
