Your Wes Anderson boner is justified, but those movies aren't as funny as 40 Year Old Virgin or Knocked Up.  Better overall, but not funnier.

i was home one friday night last winter drinking beer.
after about 10 i turned on the television to hbo.
40 year old virgin was on, i hadn't seen it b/c comedy movies generally suck and piss me off more than amuse me.
i watched it while drinking my beers and thought it was pretty good.
