What's going on with Eric Benoit?  According to Rivals he hasn't even signed his LOI!  Anybody know anything??

He's enrolled but hasn't started classes yet.

I still think it's hilarious that you question our coaching staff's ethics. You'll almost have a case once the NCAA starts slamming us with LOIC and academic fraud.

Benoit attended 2 different jucos and had to get all his credits transferred, but he screwed up and didn't start the paperwork from the first juco until June, so it's taken forever for him to get his stuff to the clearinghouse.

Benoit did have academic issues. That's why he couldn't enroll early to the other school he commited to before us. (Baylor?) No one thought he would make it, so pretty much everyone backed off, except for us.

No, that is not right. He just couldn't get in to any place at semester because he did not have enough hours.

Benoit verbally committed to U-La-La in March or April. Baylor and ISU showed some interest in him in the fall if he could count back in their classes, but he was never going to be a semester grad so he had no D-1A offers and did not sign with anyone in February. I guess if you think that every juco guy who didn't graduate at semester has academic issues, then he did also.

That's all fine and good, but if you check the roster, (which probably hasn't been updated recently) Sims is on the roster, and Benoit still isn't.  I guess in a couple days we'll know for sure.  Hopefully they'll both be on the team.

I got an e-mail that said that even though Pinchback and Sims are on the roster, they will not be coming. Even though Walls and Benoit are not on the roster, they will be in Manhattan.
