Prince recap w/Jack Harry on 38 Sports spot

Not a whole lot to report really....

-- He talked about being involved with the KC metro area more (mentioned the open practice up here on Aug 11)

-- He said that last year, Ksu was a distant 6th in preseason predictions, so being 3rd preseason in the north this year did not really matter to him.  He stated once again he wants to contend for North and Big 12 crowns.

-- Said the 2 areas that have the question marks are O-Line and PK.

-- He did not talk at all about the defense or the switch to the 3-4 look.

-- Jack was probing him about all the coaching changes and Prince just said he feels in today's world the asst coaches are almost like free agents today. 

-- Talked a little about playing Auburn and the positives of getting Ksu in the spotlight with that game.  Mentioned how the recruits and players really will love it.   

-- Said he was really disappointed wtih the games vs ku/MU last year because of all the turnovers.   

-- Talked about how Freeman's weight gain won't be an issue because they have conditioning tests that will make sure Josh is in good shape.  Other than Josh, they did not talk about any other returning player specificly.   


-- Commented on the Mike Vick situation since he recruited both Vicks and knew the family pretty well

I didn't see it, but I'm sure Jack spent quite alot of time trying to put down KSU or trying to get Prince to say something he could pounce on...then he talked about Missouri.  He's an equal time journalist, you know.  I do wonder if he mentioned MU being the favorites when they talked about KSU being picked third.

Where do people get this perception?  Jack honestly calls it like he sees it.  After our NCAA snub, he went on an impressive 10 rant with the words "GOT HOSED" and a powercat behind him.  He also guaranteed that KSU would break the ku streak this year.

Harry haters need to get a grip.

Another positive on Jack Harry is that he employed the use of lasers to cure his addiction to smoking cigarettes.  That's right I said it, friggin' lasers.  Pew-pew.

No Jack only mentioned Mizzou when he brought up the fact that Ksu lost to both ku and MU, but said since that both games were on the road, that fans probably gave Prince a pass since it was his 1st year.  Prince disagreed saying, i don't think i was going to get any free passes. 

As far as Jack Harry is concerned....

Yes, he is a big MU homer.  Sometimes he can get on my nerves a bit, but i do get a laugh out of him a lot of times.   He likes to push buttons in his interviews (like a lot of journalists do these days) 

He actually had a lot of good things to say about Prince last year and even the job Huggs did getting Ksu to a top 4 finish in Big 12 play.   

He is not afraid to scrutinize MU.  He was pretty upset the way MU finished last year in FB after starting 6-0 (you'd think he would be use to MU's late season collapses by now)
