I was at a 2 week wrestling camp there earlier this month and witnessed all the construction first hand.  You know when you see construction around your house and it seem like nothing ever gets done, well that wasn't the case there. Just in the two weeks i was there we noticed a lot get done.  All their facilites are flat out ridiculous. We got to use the weight room and it was quite impressive. ugggh just looking at those aerial views gives me nightmares of running all over that f*cking city and running stairs in gallagher iba. f*ck boomer lake and its running trails. f*ck stillwater.

I know that people consult journals as well, my friend, but the best work has been known to show up in textbooks and novels from time to time.  Just thought that "a few hundred thousand books" would be a quick way to say it without sounding all asinine and stuff.

Hold on just a minute....lets say someone donates $250 million to KSU athletics.  The result of that donation is consistent top ten finishes in hoops and football over the next ten years with a nat'l championship in each.  Did the positive publicity and interest generated by this bring enough other donations and attract enough other students to enhance overall contributions by $200 million over the next twenty years?   No, I didn't think so, either.  But it would be fun!

Maybe it's just the tightwad in me, but while I agree shiny facilities are nice and necessary, I want to see more action on the operating side of the budget.  It's hard to imagine KSU will ever become one of the top AD budgets in the conference, so we should try real hard to be smart with the cash we got.

Simple things like working it out so the AD doesn't have to pay out of state tuition to the university, endowing scholarships, etc. would take millions out of the operating budget every year that could then be used to finance and maintain new development.
