Does Yamon get drafted had Snyder not retired?
I think back to 2004-2005 when Figures was serviceable and had some issues with drops(the '05 Texas A&M game was probably the low point in his college career) and he was nonexistent in the return game. Prince comes in a turns our special teams back close to what it was before 2004 and Yamon flourished and got to showcase his speed in several games on national TV which also got him a spot in the Senior Bowl where he broke one for a TD there too. His receiving game also picked up big time and didn't have nearly as many drop issues. He became a deep threat with break away speed. The Texas game alone raised his draft stock considerably.
I think he would have been picked up as an un-drafted free agent because of his speed had Snyder's staff stuck around. I just don't see him being able to showcase his return abilities with a mediocre coached special teams unit from 04-05.
Before Prince Yamon was just another receiver. After Prince arrives he turns into a playmaker on offense and special teams. It could not have worked out better for Yamon having Snyder retire. Getting drafted in the 3rd round is worlds better than getting drafted really late or not at all. I'm really happy for him.
