    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Would have liked to have seen the cover will all the jerseys in the lockerroom with a "1" on them and if the jerseys weren't the old ones.  Any guesses on who is casting that shadow?  I'm guessing Ron Prince got in some pads.

Veytia (pronounced
VEY-tee-uh)
joined the Kansas State
football program in March
and is in his first season
with the Wildcats.
In addition to overseeing the equipment needs of
the K-State football program, Veytia manages all
equipment room staff, oversees the inventory and
purchasing of equipment and coordinates the transportation
of all football and support equipment to
road games and bowl trips.

A veteran with over 20 years of experience, Veytia
has served at virtually every level of the game
during his career, including stints with two NFL
franchises. His most recent college assignment was
at North Texas, where he served as the Mean
Green’s football equipment manager from 2001-
2003.

Prior to that, Veytia worked as the head equipment
manager with the Frankfurt Galaxy (2000-
2001) and the Barcelona Dragons (1998-2000) in NFL
Europe and also served as the head football equipment
manager at the University of New Mexico
(1999-2000).

Veytia’s two NFL tours began with a three-year
stint as an assistant equipment manager for the
Kansas City Chiefs from 1989-92. After two years in
private business and two years with the CFL’s Birmingham
Barracudas (1995-96), Veytia returned to the
NFL as an assistant equipment manager with the
Jacksonville Jaguars.

A native of El Paso, Texas, Veytia comes to
Kansas State from Con-Way Freight, where he
served the past four years as an account executive.
